Looking for a hostel?
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

For a Coast to Coaster in need of some comfort and TLC after pouring incessant rain throughout the hike through the Lake District, I couldn’t have been more relieved to get to this ideally located, comfortable, clean hostel. Excellent drying room and manager and staff were friendly, kind and efficient. Highly recommend!

We were attending due to a wedding in the local area. The house is a great location to the town, great decor and very clean! Check in was easy with clear instructions and key safe for self check in! Enough parking space for our 2 cars.

An independent hostel making a stand against underfunding, to keep hostelling available to the masses. This is a key coast to coast location, and prices means it is possible to keep a reasonable C2C budget.

Got to the hostel hot and sweaty after a hot day's hiking, decided to try to upgrade to a 2-4 pers shared room rather than the 8 bed dorm room we had booked. Unfortunately staff said none available...however, they then said we were the only 2 in our dorm so it didn't matter! Plenty of room for 2 but would have been interesting with 8 full bunk beds. Beautiful common room in an old church building.
