Situated in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc and with Skyway Monte Bianco reachable within 18 km, Alpenrose Chamonix features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a terrace. The property is around 2.9 km from Montenvers - Mer de Glace Train Station, 7.5 km from Aiguille du Midi and 7.5 km from Step Into the Void. The hostel has family rooms.

Highly recommend this hostel, the owners are absolutely lovely, extremely clean bathrooms, rooms, kitchen and common areas, good facilities and stunning view of the Mont Blanc massif. Location is slightly far from the city centre (15 min walk) but there is also a bus stop beside the hostel. The owners also give you a travel card which you can use for any bus or train in the Chamonix valley, which is super helpful when you travel from one area to another via train.

Madame Veronique was the kindest person I've meet in a hostel. The whole hostel has an awsome vibe, and many people go back every year because of that. I loved my time there, and I think the location, the facilities, the people and the beds were anything you could ask for. The ski lift is just next to the hostel, and there's a rental in front as well. The kitchen has the nicest atmosphere I've seen in a hostel, with everybody chilling and sharing stories and games about their experiences. Great place to stay!

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Great location, able to easily walk into town and get to restaurants. Parking is safe and secure underground and a lift takes you and your luggage up into the hotel lobby. Very friendly staff and lots of information about the hotel and the surrounding areas. Clean and quiet room , lovely balcony with chairs and a table unfortunately it rained while we stayed there but I imagine on a sunny day it would be very nice! Coffee machine in the room clean bathroom. 😊

Location is easily reachable by public transport bus. By walk, it is about 30 mins from the city center. People who were staying there were amazing with different backgrounds and stories. The owner is a warm lady who greets you by giving clear instructions and helps you understand the rules of the hostel. The kitchen and the dining area is spacious where you will meet new people. Cleanliness is highly commendable. The views are great!

Great location, opposite to our favorite skiresort les grands montet. Owner are prompt in communication. Clean and new. Small apartment, perfect for my friend and me we occupy the 2 rooms. For family with 2 children it’s okay but for 2 couples I guess you get privacy issues as it is small and not sound proof.

Vert lodge is a youth hostel outside Chamonix. It takes you about 20-30min walk or a free bus ride to get there. The information about check in are provided, thus I haven't met anyone of the stuff. Nevertheless I got along very well. The rooms are spacious enough for the amount of people staying, so everyone can arrange their luggage without trouble. The breakfast consist of a large array of supermarket items and fresh bread. There is enough and you can even use the coffee machine in the afternoon.

Free valley transport card provided on check-in- can use to travel free on trains and buses during your stay (bus stops pretty much outside). Staff were really helpful. Could walk to here from Chamonix Sud bus station. Quiet 4 bed mixed dorm. Had limited/basic kitchen facilities (I just used the fridge). Good value location, think it is cheaper to book direct. Seemed safe. First impression was that it is a bit rustic but I actually had a good stay.

The hostel has a budget friendly price but don’t expect too much with that price. I think it is ideal for backpackers who need a bed to sleep on. It has a nice view of the mountains.

A bit like a youth hostel but expensive for what it is. Not great value for money. Some good stuff: Great location - clean room/bathroom - lovely staff - nice soap/shower gel.
