Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Great location. Close to the center, bus and train station, market, etc, but also quite. Very friendly owners. I booted a bed for 2 nights in a dormitory. It was so nice and easy. The place was very clear, the kitchen and the rest of the facilities were very convenient, it was quiet at night, with a great yard to have a meal or to rest enjoying the view. I was happy that this place exists in chamonix, where everything is expensive and luxurious.
Great location, able to easily walk into town and get to restaurants. Parking is safe and secure underground and a lift takes you and your luggage up into the hotel lobby. Very friendly staff and lots of information about the hotel and the surrounding areas. Clean and quiet room , lovely balcony with chairs and a table unfortunately it rained while we stayed there but I imagine on a sunny day it would be very nice! Coffee machine in the room clean bathroom. 😊
Location is easily reachable by public transport bus. By walk, it is about 30 mins from the city center. People who were staying there were amazing with different backgrounds and stories. The owner is a warm lady who greets you by giving clear instructions and helps you understand the rules of the hostel. The kitchen and the dining area is spacious where you will meet new people. Cleanliness is highly commendable. The views are great!
Great location, opposite to our favorite skiresort les grands montet.
Owner are prompt in communication.
Clean and new.
Small apartment, perfect for my friend and me we occupy the 2 rooms. For family with 2 children it’s okay but for 2 couples I guess you get privacy issues as it is small and not sound proof.
Awesome hostel, great host/owner, better facilities and vibe than the other cham hostels as well. WIll be coming back!
Great location right next to the lift as well.
Great location, rich free breakfast, comfy beds, hot showers. On top of that a great bar and restaurant and very nice international staff.
Great value for money. If you’re a backpacker, there’s no way around this hostel in chamonix!
Vert lodge is a youth hostel outside Chamonix. It takes you about 20-30min walk or a free bus ride to get there. The information about check in are provided, thus I haven't met anyone of the stuff. Nevertheless I got along very well. The rooms are spacious enough for the amount of people staying, so everyone can arrange their luggage without trouble.
The breakfast consist of a large array of supermarket items and fresh bread. There is enough and you can even use the coffee machine in the afternoon.
The hostel has a budget friendly price but don’t expect too much with that price. I think it is ideal for backpackers who need a bed to sleep on. It has a nice view of the mountains.
A bit like a youth hostel but expensive for what it is. Not great value for money.
Some good stuff: Great location - clean room/bathroom - lovely staff - nice soap/shower gel.
