Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Amazing location that's next to the city square. 10min from bus terminal. Secure luggage storage. Courteous staff and onsite tour (Cotopaxi tour is only $35pp with lunch. Recommend as a budget alternative to the Secret Garden offering) information and booking. Good breakfast and a kitchen guest can use.
The hostel is also a sister hostel to the all famous Cloud Forest hostel on the Quilotoa loop that with the same level of hospitality and affordable. Don't miss when you do the loop!
Great little hostel, clean, friendly staff, good wifi, good breakfast, comfortable beds, good value for money. Also liked that my room had a bed-side lamp so in the evening I could make the room cosier with ambient lighting. Safe bet if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Latacunga
It was in a really great location and the building felt really safe and had a beautiful view from the rooftop. The room was spacious. The receptionist was so so lovely and she did some of our laundry for us and managed to get two stains out which is incredible!
Cheap. Comfortable room .
Good wifi.
Nice third floor to chill.
Taxi 1.5 usd from bus terminal but you can catch buses to Quito in front of shopping mall 900m from the hostel, easier.
Kitchen. (Only 4 people can sit)
Nice family run hostel in great location. Private rooms have good value for money, could be a bit more modern but rooms are clean and the showers are hot and reliable (we stayed in 2 different rooms before and after the hike). Staff is very helpful in answering questions about Quilotoa and storing luggage.
we booked the twin room, so we had plenty of space. the location is good. hot shower
Victor provides information about the Quilotoa loop every evening. that’s very helpful. he also helped us to book the hostel for the hike for cheaper price.
The owner was super friendly & helped me/us so much with the tours we wanted to do. The day before, he sat down with us & really took his time to explain everything, answered all our questions and made sure we could start safely ☺️ The best hostel to be in Latacunga!
