Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Excellent value for size of room and location. We loved that the hotel was a 20 minute walk from the train station along the river. We stayed in room 7 which is on the top floor and has a balcony overlooking the river. It was the perfect size for me and my friend. We could've easily stayed here for an extra night. The hotel restaurant had pretty decent food too. For a cheap, no frills spot, I would highly recommend.
As I was due to arrive after 8pm , I was supposed to get my key from a key safe, but the owner in fact waited for me to arrive at the property to let me in, a nice touch.
The room was fine, and Konigstein is a lovely little town in a superb location.
Breakfast was good.
The place is stunning. New, warm, clean, and very comfortable, The view of the Elba and the green banks on th eothser side makes anyone to desire to stay there forever. We had a good box of chocolates and a sparking wine (very cheap one) waiting for us. However I had too many problem siwht the entire booking process.

The owner helps refugees and hosts some people in one part of the hostel. The are curtains on each bed so there’s some privacy in the room with 8 other people, which is nice. Shower and kitchen are good.
