Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Probably the best youth hostel I've ever been to, a really high hotel standard, clean and quiet despite a central location. Large modern rooms, many shared bathrooms so there is always one available. Very good breakfast.
I accidentally ended up in Dortmund, as I was in fact heading somewhere else, and I arrived late (around 21:30), so I needed somewhere urgent to stay. This place looked decent and ok priced, and relatively close to the main train station. I'd honestly only recommend this place for a one night stay. It is quite spacious though. If you are perhaps a group of 3 or even 4, and have looser standards, this might actually result in a convenient and cheap stay, maybe for 2–3 nights max.
In Dortmund for Euros 2024. Hostel in great location. Lovely staff. Comfortable family room for us & our 2 adult sons. Private bathroom. Comfy beds. Very good breakfast.
Cracking hotel. Big spacious room, working air condition, great location and safe parking. Staff were excellent as well. Breakfast was fresh and had a wide choice. Would easily recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Dortmund.
Great location when arriving by train. My room was clean and more spacious than expected for a budget hotel.
I was able to book for a very good price at a weekday (from other reviews it seems like during peak seasons the price is much higher).
There is 24/7 reception and the door can only be entered by a code at night (which made it feel more safe to me).
I had a window facing the street; despite having read a lot about noise from other reviews, I had a very calm night and good sleep.
Very clean place, toilet was impressively functional and clean for a hostel. Great location, christmas market was right at the doorstep. No noise from streets/corridors. Overall impressive as a hostel, strongly recommended!
Good, affordable hostel near Dortmund train station (Hauptbahnhof), with a cozy lobby where you can have a beer after a long travel day. The bunk beds, bathrooms and restrooms are fine. I was able to switch rooms after complaining about a smoking roommate.
Great location very close to the city centre. Lovely apartment with great sized balcony, well equipped and very clean. The casino which was downstairs, mentioned in previous reviews, is now closed so the entrance is both quiet and safe.
The breakfast was simply amazing, the staff super friendly. However the room was quite small and furniture quite cheap. Recommended for shorter stays or if there are problems with your budget. Location is perfect.
