Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
The room was quite good, with a good toilet, a big closet with a safe, and a fan. I liked the communal balcony overlooking the city and the sea.
Very close to the center (about 5 min walk).
It was recommended to us (2 women) to avoid walking back from the centre at night, and to take a taxi instead as it could be a bit dangerous. We decided to walk (roughly 5 minutes), and we didn't find the place dodgy or dangerous at all. Quite the contrary: quite calm. However, it can be a good idea to be cautious.
Staff was very nice!
The staff was amazing, and it was lovely to be able to go and visit the shelter. Even in the hostel you can enjoy some of the animals. You can cuddle with the cats, and there are some dogs. Even with the animals there, the hostel is super clean! The facilities are basic but good. It's a very nice place to meet new people and explore the city.
This is probably one of the best hostel I had the chance to visit. The staff is super nice and they’re doing a wonderful job in keeping the place clean every day. Also, it’s perfectly located 5min from the beach and city center. And obviously, I already miss my little friends 🐈 🐕 welcoming you every time you enter 🥹
Great location! It is very cheap. The beach is lovely as are the people of sao Pedro. We would stay in sao Pedro rather than Mindelo. Great for walking to the airport. The staff put breakfast out so we could eat before our very early flight. This is a home and you are welcomed and trusted in it. Comfortable bed.
