The quirky architecture initially drew me in, but it was the host (and baby mascot), the delicious breakfasts, the gym, the beach, and the wonderful guests that made me extend my stay by four extra nights. Every time I tried to leave, there was always another great reason to stay. The stunning sunrises and sunsets, the charm of Lolo, and endless possibilities made this a perfect 10!
NB: Not a place for people with baggage.

It’s located 2 minutes walk from the Playa Grande beach, the common areas (pool, kitchen, dining tables) were nice and tidy, laundry service available for 15$ per 5kg, the staff were friendly, free coffee in the morning. There’s a restaurant next door.

We got the room on very end and was looking quiet old . The windows you couldn't close and did not have s courtiers so you wake up very early. As it is hostel depends more of the other guests how quiet it is at night. The room would need some reconstruction of the bathroom. Pool looks great and the stuff is very friendly and nice to talk .

Lovely place just a short walk from all the shops and restaurants in Tamarindo.
I stayed in a tent and was a really comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Kitchen area is used far more than I thought by many travellers.
Toilets and showers are clean *they are cold showers
For the price it was great staying in the tent. Areas are clean and well kept. Pool is clean

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

+ due to „adults only“ the guests were a little more mature and therefore it’s not a party hostel with crazy 18 year olds - however there are still parties going on, just a bit more „classy“ in terms of hostel parties

Great location (150m from the beach), amazing staff, always ready to help and guide you if you have any problems. The pool is perfect for the hot noon-afternoon hours where the sun is to strong to lay on the beach.
The owner and his team were amazing , helpful and had an overall great vibe.
Highly recommended, especially for solo travelling. Immediately made friends with all the staff and guests ans had a great time. Close to the beach, surfboards can be rented. Great mix between hotel and hostel.
This was the best hostel that I ever stayed in. They had excellent restaurant service, very friendly staff and they are still working to create new spaces to provide to their customers. The place is a clean, hot shower and a very comfortable bed. For remote workers, it's an excellent option. Very close to the beach as well
The hostel is in a great location, not far from the beach. All staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean. Very relaxed atmosphere. Staff are able to help with organising activities e.g. a surf lesson.
Beautiful hostel with nice pool and common area, awesome that its not bunk beds but single ones in the dorm!
The local staff was amazing and even brought me soup when i was sick!!!!
