Room: Very spacious, cozy, homey - it really felt like I was in China. Well decorated, there's even a tea area. They've provided good products for showering and clean linens. There's a huge TV but we never figured out how to turn it on and we didn't have time to watch anyway because we're always tired from all the activities.
Laundry: Laundry powder and use of the washing machine is free. You just hang your clothes on the clothes line on the top floor of the hostel. It is exposed, so just be careful of your clothes because the wind can be strong and will blow away smaller items. It's a challenge doing this during winter. You need a full day for your clothes to dry, but at least it is free.
Staff: James is so helpful, booked all our park tickets in advance, gave us restaurant recommendations, and planned our forest park itinerary. He knows how to speak English, but does need a translation app sometimes. Very friendly and accommodating.
Location: It's near the Baofeng Lake area, but we didn't have time to see it. There's a restaurant and big convenience store just outside the hostel. You can buy bread, snacks, drinks, clothes and other items. Pharmacy is a distance away but walkable. The area is very quiet and some restaurants are either just closed the whole day, or they close early. Away from the central area.

It has a perfect location, basically 300m from the entrance of the national park and very close to good restaurants.
The included breakfast was daily fresh made by the owners (although unusual for us - a very good soup with spicy pork dumplings).
The owners are very helpful with booking tickets (they even have a discount compared to the internet).
It has nice bathrooms.

The stuff is so friendly they turned on the heating bevor we arrived so that the room was warm. This place is in the middle of the city you have many restaurants around .
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
We loved our stay at Destination Youth Hostel! The owner is incredibly kind, welcoming, and was always happy and available to give recommendations for travel, food and more. Thank you very much for your great hospitality, and we definitely recommend this experience to others as well!!
Perfect location. 10 minutes far from the Zhangjiajie main entrance, and 5 minutes far from the bus station to get to the other main places (Tianmen Mountain, Grand Canyon,...) and the railway station. Rooms are big and bathroom as well. All the days it was cleaned and 1 use towels were placed on it.
After you check in in the hostel, , you get a detailed descripción how to visit and get to Zhangjiajie Park and the other attractions. Lili-Ly is all kindness helping you online every question and with the online attractions bookings.
It's very quiet surrounding and host Anthony is fantastic.. making sure we are comfortable, knows where to go, things all booked, back safely. We can wash clothes for free and bottled mineral water on the house.
It's just 10 mins walk to national park, there's few restaurants and bars down the corner. An hour drive to grand Canyon and 50 mins drive to tianmen mountain.
free dryer machine

That's great!!
The owner was super helpful and friendly, he helped me with everything and gave me a lot of tips since this was my first stop in China. He speaks english. You can book every tour there. The hostel is close to the airport and to the bus station. Basic facility but very cheap. Good place to meet people.
If you are going to TianMen this is a great place to stay. Its close to the cable car that will take you up. The downstairs and room are nicely decorated. The hotel is pretty cheap, so great for keeping a budget
Ralph is super friendly, faves us great tips and and helped us organising our trip. He speaks very good English.
The hostel is truly amazing. Great location, great atmosphere, great place to hang out.
2 minutes away from extremely nice street food street. Best dinner in town.
I had an incredible stay here, it was perfect for my visit to Zhangjiajie! The place is in a great location to be able to access the National Park and the Glass Bridge Grand Canyon nearby. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and contain everything you need. The neighbourhood was quiet and was very safe. Our host, Rebecca, is very welcoming and makes you feel right at home. She helped us with so much, such as booking tickets, suggesting an itinerary and providing tips, arranging transportation and getting breakfast, and goes above and beyond!
