Opting for their "Family Bungalow" with two double beds and one single bed, a private bathroom, and a delightful balcony, we found a perfect blend of comfort and affordability at $135/night, with an additional $15 per person for a scrumptious breakfast. 💼💤 It's worth noting that payments are accepted only in local currency, and cards, Euros, or Dollars are not accommodated. 💳🚫💶💵 What truly set the ambiance apart was the captivating presence of a grand rubber tree at the heart of the property, coupled with Polynesian decor that adorned the entire space. The owners, exceptionally warm and attentive, ensured all our needs were met with enthusiasm. 🌳🎨🛌 However, accessing the location requires a rental car or at least a scooter, as it's a 5-minute drive from the main road, conveniently close to both the ferry terminal and the airport. Additionally, the Sofitel Hotel nearby offers a tempting day pass for exploration. 🚗🏍️🏨 I wholeheartedly recommend "Haere Mai | Te Fare" to fellow travelers heading to Moorea. We loved their welcome to us and the sharing of their family and cultural history. The pool was lovely and the ice-cream shop I minute away was a bonus. Alex’s dive trip was fantastic and not to be missed.

Location is one of my favourite in French Polynesia, The place has a super peaceful atmosphere and is great to crash after an active holiday in Polynesia. The hosts are brilliant and will encourage exploring the local habitat.

He was friendly and helpful. Although he lives on-site, he is usually busy with house chores, or on adventures of his own, so he's not there much. During my visit, the house was full of life and had a fairly steady pace of changing travelers every couple days. It was about 8-10 mins from beach and comes equipped with a very sweet house cat. Everything was super clean, and cooking utensils were aplenty. No dishwasher, so be prepared to tidy up after yourself. It is quite a remote location, and requires some effort to get to anything except the little gas station nearby, which was quite handy in a pinch with basic groceries. Also, TAKE MOSQUITO REPELLANT. It's only a short walk from the ferry terminal, but anyway the fresh coconut at arrival was a great refreshment. The host is very friendly and passed by several times for a little chat. As the temperature cools down in the evening it is perfect for sleeping with open windows. Everything was very clean, but as the kitchen is in an open area expect some insects around.

What a great find…good location, sort of in between anything you would want to visit…but the best thing were the use of the kayaks which we took out every morning to paddle to the little islands, beaches and to snorkel. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich, überaus hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns jederzeit willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank für eine tolle Zeit auf Moorea.
