A very comfortable, clean and lovely place. The breakfast is delicious and the hosts help you with any kind of question.

Located 500 metres from the main square and 400 metres from Oltursa bus station, Hostal Universal offers free Wi-Fi and 24-hour front desk assistance in Huaraz. The owners are extremely kind and helpful and will do absolutely anything to help you out in any way they can. Lovely hot showers and very clean. Good location. Perfect place to stay.

Plus, there's a convenient public minivan that takes you to the city center for just a few cents. Highly recommended, and I would definitely stay there again!

The host was very friendly and helpful! We felt very welcome. The community room with view over Huaraz was really comfortable. Located in a really nice and calm area of the city, in walking distance to downtown and many nice restaurants.

We loved the staff, they were friendly, kind, communicative, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond for us. They also spoke English very well, which is not common in Huaraz, so that made this stay a lot easier for us because we are not strong Spanish speakers. The rooms and the bathroom were clean. The location was quiet so we were able to sleep well. Hot water was available (the labels were incorrect but there was hot water nonetheless). We had good phone signal/reception and wifi was available. The hotel staff also booked our tours for us which helped make our trip smooth and easy. They also offered to make us breakfast for a small fee since we had to be up really early for our tours. This was such a pleasant stay, I highly recommend.

I was bitten by a dog one evening and the owner offered to drive me to the hospital that night (didn't end up doing that), but then he brought me to the local clinic in the morning and helped explain what happened since we didnt have much Spanish. Extremely grateful for that! Otherwise the place itself was nice too - comfy beds and a spacious room. Breakfast was decent in the morning too. They also allowed us to make a couple.of sandwiches in the evening to bring with us on a tour the following day since we were leaving very early.
