J&D Cottage, a property with a garden, is situated in Kerikeri, 26 km from Opua Forest, 4.5 km from Kemp House and Stone Store, as well as 21 km from Haruru Falls. We didn't have breakfast during our stay but next time will definitely take the opportunity. We were able to get a courteousy van from Homestead to pick us up and drop us off so we could enjoy a couple of beers. Lovely stay there and so thankful for the return of my phone. Located in Paihia in the Northland region, Paihia on the Rise features a patio and mountain views. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Dave and Suz were exceptional hosts, going above and beyond, making us very welcome, offering local advice and fishing spots. Would recommend to anyone. Nice modern house, super comfy bed, great private area. Full kitchen and great shared area. Great parking. We'll be back.

Quiet location, very comfortable bed, immaculate place, separate living room space, well-thought-out amenities. Delightful hosts. Easy to walk to wharf and town. Separate entry from owners.

Offering a garden and garden view, Kiwiblue is situated in Kerikeri, 1.3 km from Kemp House and Stone Store and 20 km from Haruru Falls. Great communication from Jenny - easy to find key and let myself in. Facilities are new, clean, freash and inviting. Modern and lovely comfy bed to sleep in. TV is great to relax to, with Netflix etc included. Bathroom is spacious and new, great water pressure. Ranchslider to outide area will be lovely in the summer. Comfy warm sleep after a good movie, coffee and a bickie! (supplied!) WiFi connection is excellent.

The Pacific Room, Tapeka Point, a property with a garden and a terrace, is set in Russell, 200 metres from Tapeka Point Beach, 2.8 km from Long Beach, as well as 1.2 km from Flagstaff Hill. We had a great time. Bridget was extremely welcoming and accommodating around our needs. We highly recommend The Pacific Room.

Boasting garden views, Fantail River Lodge offers accommodation with balcony, around 20 km from Opua Forest. This guest house features free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. Everything was perfect! The property has a beautiful ground with an outdoor area by the river. The loft itself where we stayed was perfect. It’s very dog friendly with a gated garden for our dog to roam around. The space has everything we need and more! Chris and Val are absolutely lovely, such amazing hosts and we’d love to go back there. Thank you for your unrivaled hospitality :)

Paradise on The Strand is set in Russell, 2 km from Tapeka Point Beach, 500 metres from Christ church, and 400 metres from Russell Museum. Our experience with Karen at Paradise On the Strand surpassed all expectations... and after seeing the photos and reading the reviews, our expectations were high! This was the pinnacle of excellent lodging experiences during our 7 weeks in New Zealand. Karen provided just the right amount of friendly genuine engagement, and privacy. A short walk through the bush each morning took us to Long Beach to watch the sun rise, coffee in hand (coffee cart on beach). Sunsets were spectacular! BREAKFASTS were presented each day with abundance, freshness, creativity and variety; always delicious! Home-made yoghurt, honey from Karen's son's hives, AND warm bread just out of the oven for an afternoon tea surprise! We WILL return!

Situated 19 km from Opua Forest, Horse Shoe Manor offers 3-star accommodation in Paihia and has a garden. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. Large area with a great outdoors space. Definitely a great place to stay if you are visiting the bay of islands, which was one of my favorite places in New Zealand. We had one room with a lot of area, and another with very little area, so that was interesting.

Offering a garden and river view, Taranaki is situated in Waihaha, 18 km from Christ church and 19 km from Russell Museum. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. The location is stunning : high up in the wetlands, the view is exceptional - you won't want to leave! The bauch itself is very cosy and well-equipped. There is a little kitchenette to cook your own meals (useful as the place is quite remote). The host, Elisabeth, is very welcoming, kind, and cooks some delicious breakfasts.
