J&D Cottage, a property with a garden, is situated in Kerikeri, 26 km from Opua Forest, 4.5 km from Kemp House and Stone Store, as well as 21 km from Haruru Falls. Boasting bicycle parking, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. We didn't have breakfast during our stay but next time will definitely take the opportunity. We were able to get a courteousy van from Homestead to pick us up and drop us off so we could enjoy a couple of beers. Lovely stay there and so thankful for the return of my phone. A kitchenette with a dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator is standard in all studios. Each air-conditioned studio features flat-screen satellite TV, a DVD player and an iPod docking station. The owners Catherine and Stewart were the perfect hosts! They had a great balance between privacy and sharing important information about where to go.

With free WiFi, this homestay provides a cable flat-screen TV, a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and toaster. Towels and bed linen are provided in the homestay. For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. I did not want to give a ten because everyone will book this and we would not be able to get in next time! This place was fabulous!!!

This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 25 km from Opua Forest. Room was comfortable, spacious, and very private. Access to the room was super easy too and Jenny communicated with us before we arrived (very late booking and check in so this was really helpful 😊)

The Pacific Room, Tapeka Point, a property with a garden and a terrace, is set in Russell, 200 metres from Tapeka Point Beach, 2.8 km from Long Beach, as well as 1.2 km from Flagstaff Hill. Outdoor seating is also available at the guest house. Beautiful place with excellent facilities. Bridgette welcoming and friendly. Comfiest bed ever. Thank you.

Set in the Bay of Islands, Fantail River Lodge offers a garden. All rooms feature a TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. Rooms come with a balcony with views of the garden.

The rooms at the guest house are fitted with a seating area. Every room is fitted with a kettle, while selected rooms here will provide you with a kitchenette with a microwave. All rooms will provide guests with a fridge. The breakfast supplies were varied and ample. The surrounds of the gardens were beautiful and we enjoyed strolling around them. The host was very friendly and helpful, providing information about good restaurants and things to do in the area. The accomodation was only a 5 minute drive to Paihia.

We had one room with a lot of area, and another with very little area, so that was interesting.

The cradle of this multi-cultural country, the nation’s iconic and unmissable Waitangi Treaty Grounds and national marae (Maori meeting house) are also close by, along with wineries and boutique cheese, confectioners and a farmers’ market. Just 7 minutes’ drive from all this, handy to the bustling yet laid-back townships of Kerikeri and Paihia, with their restaurants, food oulets and souvenir shops, you’ll discover the space and peace of The Riverside Homestead. Awesome hosts, amazing breakfast, the bedroom, the view from the bedroom, and the amazing washroom.

Offering quiet street views, Top of the Bay is an accommodation situated in Paihia, 600 metres from Te Ti Bay Beach and less than 1 km from Paihia Beach. This guest house features free private parking and private check-in and check-out. The guest house offers sea views and a sun terrace. Stacey our host was friendly and so helpful. She went out of her way to provide us ironing facilities and to sort a mix-up with a double payment. The view from the room was breathtaking in a quiet and peaceful setting. We highly recommend Top of the Bay (it truly is!!) and would definitely return.
