There's a Malaysian restaurants that's open at 7am across the building named Malaysian Spice, they serve really good roti, coffee, and local Malay food. I highly recommend to also try the beef soup at Mai Restaurants which is close to the area also. The unit is very clean, organized, has strong internet and the owner is very accommodating. If you want to book a tour, reach out to her also, she gives you good deal and cheaper rather than you book it from the tour company. The location is walking distance from Tanah Rata Bus Terminal around 800 meters distance. Grab is normally available during the day but very hard to book in the early morning or lte evening.

Situated in Taman Negara, Balai Serama Guesthouse offers tranquil and comfortable accommodation. Surrounded by lush greenery, it features a restaurant and provides free parking space on site. I was a little bit sceptical about the included half board option but it turned out to be the best decision. There were quite a lot of options to choose from and it was delicious. Also I usually do not book tours from hotels due to overpricing but it seemed they have regullar price + it was a nice lift forward and backward in a Hilux trunk seats. My family also liked a very nice and maintained tropical garden.

Very nice apartment with a good view, more than enough space and all the facilities you need. I especially appreciated all the little touches that make the place feel like a home. Great swimming pool! Clean. Very friendly staff in the building (with a very funny security guard:-)). I rented about 12 rooms/homestays/apartments on my trip till now. This was by far the best!
