Located within 50 km of Kandy City Center Shopping Mall in Matale, Gammaduwa Heritage Bungalow and Tea Gardens features accommodation with seating area. The Gammaduwa Bungalow, nestled in the serene hills, offers a magical retreat amidst lush tea gardens. I drove a tuk-tuk, and while the climb was steep, the destination was truly worth it. I took a wrong turn along the way and got slightly lost, but that’s the best thing that can happen to you in Sri Lanka. 🙂 Upon arrival, you’re greeted by tastefully decorated interiors and the inviting aroma of sumptuous food. The fresh air and tranquil surroundings create a soul-cleansing experience that lingers long after your stay. The excellent service adds to the charm, making every moment feel special. At Gammaduwa Bungalow, time seems to stand still, inviting you to cast away your cares and immerse yourself in the natural beauty and serenity of this hidden gem.

The Inn At Matale, a property with a garden, is situated in Matale, 35 km from Sri Dalada Maligawa, 35 km from Kandy Museum, as well as 36 km from Bogambara Stadium. Dilini is an amazing host, she recommended us nice spots in Knuckles Forrest Reserve. I would definitely recommend to stay in Matale for more than 1 night and visit Knuckles as much as possible, the nature is really beautiful (although good to have a driver or a car to visit all the spots). Also, the room was very clean with all the needed facilities. Special thank you to Dilini for making a delicious cappuccino during the breakfast!

Sarath and his family are the most welcoming and amiable hosts we had on our journey in Sri Lanka. The lodging is on top of a hill and inside a plantation so you are all surrounded by beautiful nature. As part of the plantation Sarath and his family are growing their own coffee and spices from which Sarath's wife cooked a most delicious breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed our stay at Plantation Retreat very much and will never forget the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We can very much recommend a stay here.

Overlooking stunning nature views, Strathisla Guest House features an outdoor swimming pool and barbeque facilities. Guests can also enjoy free Wi-Fi access at all areas of the property. Super relaxing visit, owner very helpful and friendly. Breakfast and dinner delicious.

This place is very much frindly and want to tell that, it is very genuine place and peoples ..clean foods and tasty and good service and nice hospitality ..childrens can play and no body will not disturb ..every thing provide on time and very reasonable prices...

Beautiful old house, comfortable rooms and great hospitality, they were very accommodating of my requests (desk in room, pets allowed). Central location and delicious breakfast.

Boasting mountain views, Ama Residence provides accommodation with balcony, around 30 km from Kandy City Center Shopping Mall. Friendly and trusted staffs. They provided everything what we asked. Facilities are as per the details provided at the time of booking. Even though I paid extra day as check out time is 11am and I left the facility at 6pm, they refunded my extra day payment.

Sembuwatta Reach Homestay, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Elkaduwa, 24 km from Kandy City Center Shopping Mall, 25 km from Sri Dalada Maligawa, as well as 25 km from Kandy Museum. From the guesthouse it's easy to walk to Hunas Falls and the lake, through scenic traffickless little roads

This 1930s bungalow is sprawled across 98 acres of a tea plantation, at the foot of the Knuckles Mountain Range. I will carry this magical place in my memories for my whole life. Extremely stylish tea estate that seems suspended in time and space.. me and my girlfriend just couldn’t stop taking pictures with our camera all around the property! They have a breathtaking veranda where you can enjoy your meals, especially the dinner at sunsets.. a charming swimming pool, marvelous rooms and a private waterfall!! Amila, the manager is one of the nicest and most professional persons I have the privilege to met during my time in Sri Lanka took very good care of us and I recommend not to miss the tea plantation tour and tea tasting with Mr. Das, the historic memory of this beautiful place. What else to add? Two nights weren’t enough but that’s a good reason to go back!
