Boasting river views, Hotel Yelona features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 28 km from Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens. What a lovely warm welcome. Dunisha not only runs a wonderfully positioned hotel (right beside a river with wild monkeys passing through each morning) but he cooks too! The food he made for us was personalised, creative and delicious. Very delicious! Our room was very comfortable and anything we wanted he was happy to provide. If we passed through the area again, we'd definitely stay there. Very affordable accommodation and cheap but exceptional dinner. Great value for money!

The Golden Residence, a property with a garden, is situated in Kegalle, 34 km from Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens, 39 km from Kandy railway station, as well as 40 km from Bogambara Stadium. We decided to stop in at the Golden Residence to break up our trip to Kandy. The owner was great and very accomodating. Our rooms were very large and spotless and the tour of the hotel gardens was fun. We had to leave early and the had a huge and tasty breakfast spread ready to go for us. Best value and cleanest rooms we have had to date in Sri Lanka!!

Near to the pinnawala elephant orphanage and the pinnawala zoo. The balcony view of pinnawala elephant orphanage was nice.

Situated within 33 km of Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens and 38 km of Kandy railway station in Kegalle, Basilico Homestay offers accommodation with seating area. A very clean, quiet and a comfortable place. Manori Perera was very helpful and gave information about close by shops and where to buy food. She was very friendly and prepared very tasty meals for us. My mum enjoyed her mango curry and said it is one of the best. We definitely will stay there again when we go to Kegalle.
