What a lovely warm welcome. Dunisha not only runs a wonderfully positioned hotel (right beside a river with wild monkeys passing through each morning) but he cooks too! The food he made for us was personalised, creative and delicious. Very delicious! Our room was very comfortable and anything we wanted he was happy to provide. If we passed through the area again, we'd definitely stay there. Very affordable accommodation and cheap but exceptional dinner. Great value for money!

We decided to stop in at the Golden Residence to break up our trip to Kandy. The owner was great and very accomodating. Our rooms were very large and spotless and the tour of the hotel gardens was fun. We had to leave early and the had a huge and tasty breakfast spread ready to go for us. Best value and cleanest rooms we have had to date in Sri Lanka!!

The accommodations are spacious, clean and comfortable. The food is authentic and amazing, and same goes for our gracious host and tour guide. At no point in our stay did we feel discomfort. The experience allowed us to immerse in the Sri Lankan culture in a way that was comfortable and inviting.

Nice place. Near to the pinnawala elephant orphanage and the pinnawala zoo. The balcony view of pinnawala elephant orphanage was nice.

Basilico Homestay asub Kegalles, 33 km kaugusel Kandy kuninglikust botaanikaaiast ja 38 km kaugusel Kandy raudteejaamast. Majutusruumides on istumisnurk. A very clean, quiet and a comfortable place. Manori Perera was very helpful and gave information about close by shops and where to buy food. She was very friendly and prepared very tasty meals for us. My mum enjoyed her mango curry and said it is one of the best. We definitely will stay there again when we go to Kegalle.
