It is located a little bit outside the center so calmer but still close enough so that within 5 minutes, you are in town if you wish to. Two of the most beautiful beaches of the area (Silent Beach and Goyambokka Beach) are within walking distance. The place itself is absolutely great. It's a beautiful house with the hosts living on ground floor and the rooms/apartments on 2nd and 3rd floor. They are very spacious and equipped with everything you need, both for a short vacation or for a longer term stay. The beds are comfortable and the mattresses have standard US/European length, so your feet won't stick out. The AC works properly and in addition there is a fan. The WiFi is perfectly stable and fast enough even for video calls. The bathroom is clean and designed in such a way so that you can take a shower without the entire floor being wet for hours. The host and his family are very friendly and welcoming. His English is very good which makes communication easy, and he replies very quickly. They offer food at their place and rent out scooters. Given the price all of this is offered to us as guests, this place definitely deserves a 10 star review. I have already recommended coming here to friends and am certain you will be happy staying here either.

The lady and her family were very lovely and welcomed us warmly. The room is also very nice and has a beautiful balcony. You can order delicious Sri Lankan foods for very affordable prices. We booked our safari via the accommodation and everything was perfect. The owner even woke us up and brought us tea. Thank you very much for everything❤️

Place is located in Tissamaharama, maybe 2km of center but you have everything in for short stay. We spent 1 night before going to safari. Welcome drink - coconaut is something extra that we did not expect. Rooms has AC, fans, hot water, you can order meals and drinks. We enjoyed very much. Owner is helpfull, very nice man. House is very clean, rooms also.

Great spot to base yourself for Yala Park. The Cabana has 2 rooms available to book, one on the top floor with a terrace and one on the ground floor. My friend and I each booked one of the rooms which are equal in size and amenities. Very clean and a decent shower, good ac and wifi. The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating. She helped us with booking a Yala Park Tour. Best breakfast! Overall, great price and spot for access to Yala.

We were only at the hotel for 1 whole day to go on a safari in Yala National Park, still, it was a very nice stay with a warm welcoming and smiling hosts. We got a nice room with air condition and when we were picked up the next morning at 4:30 am for safari, the host came out with breakfast for us which was very ice.

Such a wondeful place to stay. The host is so helpful and friendly. He helped us arrange a safari with a very good guide and took us around to local attractions like birdwatching and batwatching and made getting to and from Tissa easy. Good food and clean room.

One of the best views from my balcony I've ever had! The houses are high up on stilts giving you an amazing view over the wetlands which are full of beautiful birds. We even saw a sunning crocodile from the balcony. This isn't luxury accommodation but it's great value for the money. You'll need the mosquito net as the walls are open to the outside. But that just lets the bird calls in in the morning. The sunset from the balcony with the birds singing is magical. And the family here are so kind and helpful. Great food too! Definitely recommend as a base for your Yala safari, and stay a few extra days for the great view.
