Located 11 km from Plain of Jars: Site 1, Kongkeo Guesthouse offers 1-star accommodation in Muang Phônsavan and features a garden. The host Kong is amazing. While his English is decent, he is extremely enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. We did the tour of the 3 main plain of jars with him and it was completely worth it. The rooms are good value for money, and as it is located in a hidden street it is very quiet. 100% recommend!

Wonderful guesthouse for Plain of Jars!!! The staff are very friendly, helpful, and English-speaking. They helped us arrange a motorcycle for rent, and also arranged a drop-off for the airport. The guesthouse itself is very comfortable and clean. Definitely great value for cost.

The Hillside Residence is located in Xieng Khouang Province in Northern Laos. Just one km away from the city centre, it offers free parking and peaceful countryside accommodation. The patron was absolutely marvellous! So friendly and always willing to help. The family succeeded to create a cosy atmosphere, bit like a living room at home. Great breakfast and great support to explore the area. We were lucky to celebrate Hmong new year, which was a surprise and a gift.
