I ended up staying for 5 nights here. The owner went well beyond requirements to make sure my stay was a good one. Very sweet and helpful despite not speaking much English (and my Korean being crap). The place is very clean and comfortable, good AC, good common area, excellent breakfast and very friendly and laid- back in general. I prefer to stay in places frequented more by local tourists than international ones and this place was perfect in that sense. No boring and hackneyed backpacking stories, just good insight into Korean culture from other guests. I've been lucky enough to be able to explore much of Asia at a snail's pace and this hostel was a top experience for me. Thanks for your kindness and hospitality! As for the town, there are some great things to see, most of all the. National Museum, the park with the tombs and the temple outside town. Also a great small 2 building museum in a park near the hostel which goes into detail on how the tombs were built. The hanok part of town I found a bit disappointing, mainly due to overcrowding and a theme park like feel to it- I much preferred the one in Jeonju to Gyeongju but enjoyed Gyeongju overall and, obviously, the guest house!

The structure is simply amazing! The breakfast awaited you starting from 8.30 AM and you can use the kitchen till 11PM. Featuring a hot tub, Hanok Stay Dagagam is located in Gyeongju. The accommodation is air conditioned and is equipped with a spa bath. The host was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond expectations. The amenities were great including snacks, great toiletries and kitchen supplies. It was an oasis that is super convenient to attractions and restaurants and cafes. The place was also spotless and clean. Very comfortable.
