But the best part was booking a day trip with Sarom (host) to visit Battambang and its countryside, learn about the Khmer culture and the genocide, taste some local specialties. Unforgettable moments of discovery !!

Situated 2.3 km from Battambang Museum, Primprey Second Home offers accommodation with a terrace, as well as a garden. Had a lovely stay at Primprey Second Home! The rooms were super clean, and the bathroom had a cool half-open design with a roof, so it stayed dry even when it rained. The garden was massive, full of flowers and fruit trees (home grown pomelo fruit was a delight), which made it feel so relaxing. Primprey was such a helpful host, showing us around and making sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was really tasty, and it was great to have bikes available for rent. Would definitely recommend it for a chilled and enjoyable stay!

Featuring free bikes and views of garden, Odambang Village Homestay is a recently renovated homestay located in Battambang, 600 metres from Bamboo Train Battambang. I had a wonderful stay at the homestay. Savet, his wife, children and family were so friendly, warm, and accommodating. They really went out of their way to accommodate me with everything I needed. I booked last minute and Savet even left work early to come and greet me and take me cycling. The bamboo hut made by Savets brother was beautiful, the photos don’t do it justice. Breakfast made by Savets wife was delicious, she even served traditional Cambodian desserts with it. As others have said, the cycling tour was great. Savet took me even though it was raining. We cycled through his village and he gave a lot of information on the way. The location was just out of Battambang town, however Savet will transport you to and from the homestay to get to your bus, restaurants etc. I had such an incredible local experience here that I wouldn’t have got anywhere else. I am really glad I chose to stay here and not in town. Highly recommend.

Amazing hospitality…Bun is one of a kind…he gives tips, shows you around if he has time and is an awesome guy to talk to. The house is on a very quiet street (good sleep) but if you wanna go out its a max. 5 min walk and youre in the middle of action (for Battambang relationships) Very modern, nice bathroom, nice breakfast (fresh fruits as i wished) Had the possibility to meet some friends of Bun…it was a blast!
