Nice staff and a very warm-hearted owner who is eager to help the guests. Open-air rooftop where you can feel the cool breeze. Offer everything with kitchen and bathroom stuff. Just bring your towel and a happy attitude. I took the buses from the beach to the other beach. I didn't bring an International driver's license, so no car for me. I could rent an electric bike, but I would rather sit on the air-conditioning buses. All the beaches in Miyako Jima are good, so taking buses close to any beach was not a problem. And this hostel is very close to the bus stop which goes to the airport also. Google map bus schedule is up to date, so you can trust that and just give and take 5-7min. I will miss this place for sure. I attached the food photo which the owner cooked for the guest that he caught on that day and the beach is 25 min walk from the hostel.

This is one of the most beautiful guesthouse I've ever seen. Probably the most beautiful. there was so much thougt spend on every detail and you feel that. It's spotless. The living room is comfortable for working but you can also just chill there and to feel very happy. I felt very comfortable there and it was very much because of Andy, who's available for any question or just for chatting. The location is very very good if you don't rent a car. There's many restaurants, bars and shops in a walking distance. this has been one the best places I've ever been too. I'm really looking forward of coming back.

El alojamiento está situado en la isla de Ishigaki, a 200 metros de la playa de Shiraho, en construcción nueva construcción. Clean room, kind staff. On the day of check in , muu-chan, one of the guest house manager is very kind and luckily we had a great time with other wonderful guests from all over the world, the stars we saw together at night on the near by beach were beautiful! This is one of the best guest house for me.

El Shimaotoya se encuentra en Iriomote y ofrece habitaciones privadas y compartidas. Se ofrece servicio de transfer gratuito desde Nakama (Ohara) puerto, a 5 minutos en auto. The hostel owner was so kind and helpful with our trip to Iriomote. She went above and beyond by picking us up from the ferry port and helping with recommendations. The room is simple, island accommodation but the shared common room is very nice with instruments and books. Kitchen was nice to use to make some food if we wanted. Extra fuzzy blankets free to use if you got cold in the night. Check out the stars at night! Also, FREE bike rental. What more could you want? Definitely check out the Co-op store down the street; delicious fresh food after 11am try the taco rice!!! We really loved Iriomote it was so peaceful and special. Our favorite island. Do visit and this hostel will serve you right!!
