Staying here is just an incredible experience, the home is stunning and fun to explore, the views are great and the hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our only wish is that we had stayed even longer.

Wakka has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Minami Aso, 31 km from Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto. We loved our stay at Wakka! We were greeted by the friendly couple and Akira the cat :) Even though we were early we could check in. The house was beautiful and cozy with lovely big windows to the mountains. It was super clean and well planned, so we could easily stay four people. The kind hostess gave us tips about nearby supermarket, so we coule buy food and eat at the outdor table :) When we left we were offerer homemade onigiri! We had a great time and would definitely stay again!

Located 1.8 km from Hosokawa Residence Gyobutei, Minshuku Hiroshimaya offers 2-star accommodation in Kumamoto and features a terrace. This place was beautiful, it felt unreal. The room was beautiful and it felt so traditional. You even have to walk through a shrine to get there it was so magical. The hosts were absolutely lovely and recommended nice places to go out and eat. Would come back to stay here again!!

A lovely, beautifully decorated and extremely comfy hostel in Kumamoto (a little away from the centre, but a fairly short walk from multiple train stations). Lots of space, both in the rooms and in the common areas. You could really relax and enjoy a home away from home. Incredibly kind, friendly and helpful host, too. I wish every hostel/guesthouse were as amazing as this one!

Located in Kumamoto, Dyeing and Hostel Nakashimaya - Female Only provides 1-star accommodation with private terraces. Guests staying at this guest house have access to a balcony. This is hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Genuinely, I would pick this hostel over a 5-star hotel any day. The room is large, comfy and well-equipped with a small table, tissues, travel guides etc. I LOVED the Kumamon dotted around the hotel, especially the Kumamon key chain and the Kumamon that will sit in the receptionist seat. Everything is so clean and tidy! The decorations of the hostel blew my mind, I genuinely had never seen such exquisite interior designs. The hostel even had a huge powder room, perfect for us ladies, and a huge common area with so much manga, a massage chair, games and even PCs! I would return to Kumamoto just to stay at this hostel again.
