Featuring mountain views, Guesthouse boro-ya provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 50 km from Kōchi Station. Everything was amazing. Location is INSANE, in a very rural village overlooking the valley. The owner, Yancy, was super friendly with us and told us his interesting story. He provided everything we need, such as cooking tools and also games and entertainment. We appreciated to have the whole house available for us, for cooking and chilling. The outdoor bathroom is a real experience. I absolutely recommend to try this accommodation.

Situated in Shimanto-cho, EkimaehouseSamaru is a recently renovated accommodation, 13 km from Kaiyodo Hobby Museum Shimanto and 24 km from Monjudo Temple. My party had mechanical failure with one of our bikes when we arrived in the middle of a snow storm, and Ono-san went completely above and beyond to help us solve the problem and get where we wanted to go. The rooms were also very clean and nice. Thank you so much for your help and for a wonderful stay!

The guesthouse itself was great if you're looking for a traditional Japanese accomodation. The facilities are clean and well maintained.

Maki was so friendly, welcoming and helpful! She recommended local restaurants for dinner, and invited me to join the tacoyaki party they were having that evening. The 8 bed dorm was lovely- gorgeous wood beds and cool decor. The beds were comfy and private. I was lucky since there were only 4 of us in the room, but I think it would be spacious enough even if it were full. Definitely the nicest guesthouse I’ve stayed at in Japan.

Beautiful and functional design, nice common areas and well kept facilities. Location is little out of city Center, but close enough to the nearest train station. Good for people who enjoy quality of sleep and local suburbs. Most importantly the staff is amazing, making your stay exceptional.

I had the exceptional pleasure to pass a night in the house of Takashi ITO san, which is his guesthouse. Ito san is a very kind and friendly person. I was happy to stay in a Japanese house. I was in rooms in traditional Japanese stile with tatami, futon, many nice decorations and objects in the rooms. His guesthouse has the name of his ancient family. We have talked and laughed, we have made photos. Ito san has on the walls of his place photos of all his guests in the last 5 years, many nice people, couples, men, women. He has told me about two local traditional restaurants, and I made dinner in one of them. Hi is a kind and very friendly person. I was happy to meet him and pass a night in his house. I have the best thoughts about him. He reduced the payment in half because I was alone, but I could use both of his traditional Japanese stile rooms.
