It was so spacious and had all the facilities we could possibly need. The tatami traditional style bedroom was lovely. The whole place was thoughtfully decorated and felt cosy. The owner was very helpful and kind. I thought honmura was a great location to be in perfect to bike ride or bus to other locations as well as having the beautiful art house projects in the same area. There was heating and cooling, all the amenities we could need. I did not ask about laundry but I’m sure Kisake would have helped with this as well.

The accommodation features a shared kitchen and luggage storage space for guests. We had a wonderful stay on Mukoujima island. The island is very small with a lot of nature and a wonderful beach. The host was extremely friendly and caring. He drove us by boat to Naoshima port and back, cooked us wonderful dinner and breakfast and showed us around the island. We had a great time and would have loved to stay longer.

The guest house had everything we needed, and the design and natural wood decorations were precisely the type of feel that we wanted for this countryside trip in Shikoku. The hosts were amazingly laid back, friendly, and helpful, including suggesting local food options, activities, and niche viewpoints. 10/10 will stay here again.
