Situated within 2.2 km of Morioka Station and 100 metres of House of Morioka Town, Tototo Morioka features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Morioka. The suggestion from the guesthouse owner is awesome! The travel tips are very useful too! The overall staying experience is brilliant and the scenery, the atmosphere are pleasant too. Particularly it is close to the Shuzo, which provide amazing local sake, how great it is!

Café&GuestHouse kaziya, a property with a garden and a shared lounge, is set in Ichinoseki, 18 km from Chuson-ji Temple, 15 km from Ichinoseki Station, as well as 22 km from Takkoku Seikou-ji Temple. Great guesthouse with a spacious Japanese-style bedroom. Everything was spotless, and they have a time-slot system for the shared bathroom so that it's easy to use. The breakfast was also delicious. We only stayed one day, I wished we had stayed at least one more. The staff was very kind and agreed to store our luggage on check-out day so that we could go to Geibikei gorge hassle-free. Geibikei is an easy 15-minute stroll from the guest house.

Situated 16 km from Chuson-ji Temple, Matakitai offers 1-star accommodation in Ichinoseki and has a garden. I was the only guest for the night. Great common area for multiple people. There is a full kitchen for use and while it is a bit out of the way it was one of the best places i stayed on my trip.

Located 34 km from Chuson-ji Temple, ゲストハウス蘖 -ひこばえ provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The holiday flat is quite close to the Sakura spot of Tenshochi Park and the Michinoku folk museum. The flat is located at the riverside with a lovely view and is decorated prettily. The owner is nice. She showed us some beautiful places when we arrived and drove us to the station when we had to leave.

Set in Hiraizumi, less than 1 km from Motsuji Temple and 2.5 km from Chuson-ji Temple, Minpaku Suzuki offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. We had a wonderful stay at Minpaku Suzuki! The hosts were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. There is no bathroom but the nearby onsen is adequate. The breakfast was delicious, way above our expectations. Highly recommended!

Located just 2.5 km from Morioka Station, Buchoho No Yado Morioka features accommodation in Morioka with access to free bikes, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. Just 10 minutes to Sakurayama shrine. It's a bit far away from Morioka station but there are a lot of interesting places for sightseeing around there.

タカマス民宿 is located in Ōtsuchi, 10 km from Kamaishi Recovery Memorial Stadium, 18 km from Kamaishi Station, and 41 km from Iwate Prefectural Fishery Science Museum. I stayed longer than I intended. The little town radiates peacefullness. And so does this guesthouse. I felt so comfortable and respected here. I was so perfectly treated I just wanted to stay longer. I actually did. And I want to go back. Live at the end of the world again, feel that small measure of peace again.

The only good things I can say about this place are that it's a very close walk to the station and that there's free cold tea.
