Located near Namgyal Tsemo Gompa and Soma Gompa, Rock Castle Residency is in Leh and provides free private parking and a restaurant. With quiet street views, this accommodation features a terrace. Very friendly, family run hotel very close to the center. The owner of the hotel Mr. Gonbo was very helpful, he organized an excellent program for us for four days. The room with balcony is very spacious. On the last night he fed us dinner and lit a campfire. The hotel is located in a very pleasant courtyard with huge trees and vegetable garden with two cute dogs. We will be happy to come back anytime.

Offering mountain views, Lhachik Guest House is an accommodation situated in Leh, less than 1 km from Shanti Stupa and a 8-minute walk from Soma Gompa. I had an excellent experience staying at Lhachik Guesthouse. I had only planned to stay for a few days prior to trekking, but do to an injury ended up staying for about weeks and am very happy I did. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating. They have a comfortable rooftop with great views and good chai is always available. Dinner is available at a reasonable price and is excellent. The rooms and facilities were clean and comfortable. It is located in a tranquil neighborhood within close walking distance to everything of interest. It will be the first place I look to stay next time I am in Leh.

48 km from Shankaracharya Mandir, Everest Guest House is a recently renovated property located in Gulmarg and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. It was an extremely pleasant experience. Everything about the property was great and exceeded our expectations. The owner also guided us when and where to visit which was a great help. The mutton Rogan josh which he specially prepared for us was just amazing and the way it was served to us almost felt like we were home. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience.
