The list of positives of my 3 night stay at Thangkop House is a long one: Good wifi, hot showers (both of which are scarce in Ladakh), spacious, clean rooms with lovely views, seamless check-in process, hot tea and biscuits on arrival etc etc. But what made my stay at Thangkop House so memorable was the warmth, friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, Dolma and her son Wong. I had a million and one questions upon arrival as I needed help with planning my motorbike trip in Ladakh - not only did they patiently answer each question, but also organised my permits and motorbike for me, helped me plan the route, gave advice on the necessary provisions and stored my excess luggage during my 5 day trip. It is no exaggeration to say that were it not for them, my trip through Ladakh would not have been as memorable. Exceptional.

Doté d'un jardin et d'une terrasse, le Julay Guest House est situé à Leh, à 1,6 km de Shanti Stupa, à 200 mètres de Soma Gompa et à 2 km de Namgyal Tsemo Gompa. This was a wonderful place to stay. The room was central with traditional decor and beside an atmospheric river plus had every comfort like plentiful hot water shower, cleanliness and tons of warm blankets for the cold and very reasonable price.

Offrant une vue sur la montagne, le Lhachik Guest House est un hébergement situé à Leh, à moins de 1 km de Shanti Stupa et à 8 minutes à pied de Soma Gompa. Lovely place and lovely family. Lhachik guest house is located in a quiet area, surrounded by nature with a nice view to the mountains and the woods. I had the perfect sunny room with big windows. The food is DELICIOUS! so good I would rather have dinner with them than in town. I booked 2 nights and stayed five. The attention of Mr. Singay is what makes this place so special. Next time I’ll be in Leh I definitely will stay in Lhachik guest house again.

The best part about staying at Raku was the owners. A lovely local family manages the place, ensuring that everything is comfortable and to your liking. They were extremely generous and kind; it felt like being at home. The morning breakfast was delicious and the garden area is absolutely stunning with views of the glaciers and mountains.

Doté d'une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite, le Heschuk Guest House est situé à Leh. I really enjoyed the stay. Padma (I believe is the owner) was really attentive and regularly checked on me if I was doing alright which was really nice. There is proper hot water available for shower too. It it not centralised, so just turn on the switch and let the tank hear up the water. The room was really spacious and the bed was comfortable. Had a really good sleep. I think no compromises were made in terms of comfort of stay for the guests. Some of the power sockets kinda have international adapter built into it. So, I could charge my devices without needing an adapter. I appreciate that extra touch in the room design. Food was also good, with big portion. There is like a shared balcony area with nice view too.
