It had everything we needed, including great air con, and was a very comfortable stay. The staff were very kind and friendly. The location was also convenient—within 5 minutes of the port.

Perched on a hilltop overlooking Megali Ammos Bay, Villa Athena Skiathos has spectacular views across the Aegean Sea and surrounding islands. Free WiFi and private parking are provided. Wonderful hosts, simple well appointed villa, with gorgeous landscaping and amazing views. Linens and towels are luxurious.

Centrally located in Skiathos Town, Capella Town, Skiathos offers air-conditioned rooms with a private balcony. I am very picky about where I stay. Those who know me understand that cleanliness is priority #1 in my choice of accommodations. When you check accommodations on the Internet, it appears great and when you get there it does not. I had read the past reviews - they were all positive! With regards to Capella Town, what is published on the Internet…what you see is what you get - in other words: it is exactly What is published on the Internet, incl booking.com and it exceeded my expectations.

I had read it was a steep walk up with suitcases, and it was, but if you want to be on a hill overlooking the old port and the ocean, you’ll have to make the trek no matter where you stay since cars don’t have access. If you do have mobility issues then the hills wouldn’t be recommended in general. Other than that it felt perfect for my 16 year old daughter and I. I woke up every morning and watched the sunrise with my tea, and it was a few minutes walk down into town for breakfast and dinner, or to Bus Stop 0 or water taxis for day trips. It was about a 15 minute walk in the other direction to Megali Ammos beach. There’s a little fridge and kettle and coffee maker. The only thing we wished it had was a dresser so we could unpack. There’s a stand for hanging clothes and a few shelves, but drawers would be great for all your smaller clothes. Not a big deal though. We’ve loved it. Been here for a week and wish it was longer.
