The 3 person room was big, modern and comfortably equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful, they greeted us with a map & tips to enjoy our first day. They helped us plan our other days on San Cristibal with recommendations of appropriate family activities & reliable tour agencies to use. The daily breakfasts (optional extra for a reasonable price) were a good start to the day. The checkout was easy, they looked after our luggage after checkout until our ferry departure time.

There is a comfortable sofa, a shelf, a coffee table and a bedside table with a switch by the bed to turn off the light. There's a TV, although I don't watch TV. Large enough mirror so you can see your outfit. The shower is spacious and there's hot water not only in the bathroom, but also the common shared kitchen has hot water in the sink so you can wash dishes properly. The family/staff have been amazing and catered to all my needs.

A recently renovated property, Casa Puka is set in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno near Oro Beach, Mann and Playa de los Marinos. This guest house provides a shared lounge. The guest house offers a sun terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. Very new built house, the cleanest hotel from that type which I experienced in whole central and Southamerica, very comfortable bed, the bath was also extremely clean, the towels were changed every second day. Good working aircon (which I barely needed in November). The shower hat a regulation for hot and cold water and had enough pressure. There was also a small flexible shower head, so if you want to rinse something or not to get your hair wet it’s very handy. Luisa was very friendly and helpful with everything I needed - great tips for activities, organizing a SIM card, helping with where to put the wet diving clothes to dry, laundry service. There was a very clean and good equipped kitchen although I didn’t cook, but just made salads twice. There is a bigger supermarket 10 steps away and one smaller directly next to it. The location is great - It’s very quiet, so you don’t need ear plugs to sleep, very near (8min walk) to the center with restaurants and the pier. I would recommend. Casa Puka to everyone without hesitation. It’s a great value for money and great experience. Thank you, Luisa!

The homestay features a spa experience, with its spa facilities, wellness packages and beauty services. The accommodation offers a shuttle service, while a bicycle rental service is also available. flor was out of town during my 10-day stay but her sister mirna and family made me feel so welcome and comfortable as if i were part of their family, exactly as i hope and prefer to travel. you have your own very large clean room, quiet AC, free filtered water which is so helpful on a tropical island where resources like this can get expensive, access to the laundry machine, and very strong wifi which i hear is rare on the island. mirna always wants to feed you and make sure you feel taken care of. you’ll be staying where the locals live while only a ten minute walk from the endlessly entertaining playa mann as well as the boardwalk (el malecon). there’s also a sweet dog and cat to keep you company who somehow know to never actually enter your room. and you can use their fridge and kitchen if you need. i cant rate this place highly enough and am already planning my return in six months. thank you so much sweet mirna!!
