I wish I could give this property more than a 10. it’s the best place I have stayed at in years. Nelly the owner is the most wonderful person and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. From picking you up at the ferry/airport to dropping you off everything is PERFECT. Her breakfasts are the best, the Hostal is spotless and so beautiful. I doubt I will ever find a place as welcoming as Hostal Cann’s House

But best of all, the hostel hosts Trudy and Ivan were the most wonderful people and completely made our stay. Ivan has lived his whole life on San Cristobal and worked as a fisherman, and Trudy is descended from the first descendants of Floreana Island (also in the Galapagos). They are so kind and friendly, helped us with information and recommendations, and we so appreciated getting to learn about them and their story. If you stay at Hostal Cattleya, you support a true local family. We love you Trudy and Ivan!

Lovely friendly host though you need google translate if your Spanish isn’t brilliant!

Flor is the one of most amazing hosts we had in our travels. She is so sweet and she treats you as if you’re part of her beautiful family. Perfect location in town, fantastic host, full of local knowledge. Very helpful with “no problem” and a friendly smile that makes you feel at home. Great shower, Netflix and clean room
