As a handyman/DIYer, I was especially intrigued by how well the magnificent old building had been restored, with the finest materials, from top to bottom, along with the finest craftsmanship, maintaining the Old World integrity of the structure, while fully updating it with the clean, crisp edges of modernity. The scrumptious breakfasts were also a highlight of our visit, as they seemed to be for all the other very contented guests as well!

Absolutely gorgeous garden to relax in with a cool drink provided by our host. The breakfast was beautifully prepared and presented with fresh warm baked bread rolls. Bright, clean accommodation with small balcony. Fridge provided also in room. Superb value for money. Already recommended to German friends.

Very comfortable place to stay while touring the Mosel River by bicycle. The breakfast was well presented and satisfying. Secure place for the bicycles

Our host was incredibly accommodating and obviously takes great pride in caring for her guests. She met us at check-in, walked us through everything, and coordinated breakfast. The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us after visiting Burg Eltz that afternoon, before making our way down the river back home. Parking is on site. There are walking paths behind the house. She gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The downstairs is accessible for an open tab on wine and beverages after hours as well as access to the terrace with a view of the river. She served us, sat and chatted with guests during breakfast, and was just lovely in general. She also made our children hot chocolate in the morning, which she joked was the best in Germany- but my kids actually said it was the best they'd had! It is a very cozy and comfortable place and very friendly hosts. I would surely love to stay there one more time.

Everything was so clean, nice and practical. Jochen even provides additional things like toothpaste, toothbrush, snacks, coffee etc. It felt amazing to stay in his place. There was no noise. The neighborhood is super quiet and safe. You can park right in the front. Jochen is a very kind host too.

Annette greeted us very warmly and made sure that we were able to eat out at the restaurant of our choice in the evening. Sumptuous breakfast. We would wish to have stayed longer to enjoy the garden and the surroundings of Hinterweidenthal.

We stayed 3 nights at Bel Etage and Petra and Peter succeeded to make us feel like at home ! A. Location = ideal to explore, in the center of attractions; Koblenz less than 1 hour driving, Cochem the same, Bacharach 20 min, Bad Kreuznach 40 min, Bernkastel Kues 70 min, Eltz Castle 1 hour; B, The house is old and charming, we stayed at 2-nd (last) floor with quite steep stairs, but this was not a problem for us; C. Breakfast was fantastic ! it is not only about food and excelent quality and diversity; for Petra and Peter is a ritual, a contest for estetics prize everyday; we felt spolied by our gentle hosts. D. Recommendations very useful from hosts; for example, gas station low price or restuarant for dinner; Gasthaus Stahl was perfect for what we needed and expected as typical german food and place. Over all, the kindness of hosts and the way they welcomed us was warm and friendly ! To conclude, we had a very pleasant experience, we strongly recommend Bel Etage ! We hope to return some day !

Seperate and nice entry to the studio, that make you completely independant from the owner. There is even a small garden. Great equipment. It is even better than on the pictures. Super comfortable bed. We loved it.
