It is a cosy family hotel. Ben and Nico & family made us feel very welcome. The room was recently renovated, and we’re glad that they kept a German touch ;) The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also very good, fresh and there was enough choice. I’m very thankful for the fresh glutenfree sandwiches I got every morning. ☺️ Upon our arrival, we received free tickets from Ben, so we were able to freely use the public transport during our whole staying. Really practical, since there is a bus stop 5 minutes walk from the hotel. And Cochem is just a 9 minutes bus ride away. Ernst was a perfect location from which we could easily travel and visit other villages allong the Moselle region. We enjoyed our vacation and will certainly come back to this hotel!

Absolutely gorgeous garden to relax in with a cool drink provided by our host. The breakfast was beautifully prepared and presented with fresh warm baked bread rolls. Bright, clean accommodation with small balcony. Fridge provided also in room. Superb value for money. Already recommended to German friends.

Set in Bruttig-Fankel, within 10 km of Cochem Castle and 32 km of Castle Eltz, Moselpension Gwosch offers accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Our host was incredibly accommodating and obviously takes great pride in caring for her guests. She met us at check-in, walked us through everything, and coordinated breakfast. The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us after visiting Burg Eltz that afternoon, before making our way down the river back home. Parking is on site. There are walking paths behind the house. She gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The downstairs is accessible for an open tab on wine and beverages after hours as well as access to the terrace with a view of the river. She served us, sat and chatted with guests during breakfast, and was just lovely in general. She also made our children hot chocolate in the morning, which she joked was the best in Germany- but my kids actually said it was the best they'd had! Boasting a garden and views of quiet street, Hanne's Gästestudio is a recently renovated homestay situated in Osann-Monzel, 32 km from Arena Trier. This lovely apartment is very private with a small garden, perfect for relaxing. We felt very welcomed by the lovely host. There are good facilities to cook for yourself if you wish and the breakfast was delicious.

Offering river views, Cafe Moselterrasse is an accommodation located in Klotten, 29 km from Castle Eltz and 37 km from Monastery Maria Laach. Christian is an excellent host, he was very worried for me and for my son. The attention was great and he really cares about the people. We really enjoy the time there. The food of his restaurant is incredible and everything is delicious 😋

As a handyman/DIYer, I was especially intrigued by how well the magnificent old building had been restored, with the finest materials, from top to bottom, along with the finest craftsmanship, maintaining the Old World integrity of the structure, while fully updating it with the clean, crisp edges of modernity. The scrumptious breakfasts were also a highlight of our visit, as they seemed to be for all the other very contented guests as well!

We stayed in a holiday apartment (Ferienwohnung) with 2 bedrooms. Everything was clean and comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and a very nice bed (we only used 1 bedroom). The rooms are very spacious. Free parking by the side of the house. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Gästehaus Alt Mehring is situated in Mehring, 16 km from Arena Trier, 18 km from Trier Central Station, and 18 km from Rheinisches Landesmuseum Trier. We stayed as a family with adjoining rooms. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The host was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. The town is picturesque and peaceful. Perfect!
