Gästezimmer Ilse Brauneis er gististaður í Mautern, 36 km frá Melk-klaustrinu og 7,2 km frá Dürnstein-kastala. Þaðan er útsýni yfir garðinn. Landlady was super helpful: we decided to stay one more night at the location, asked her during our breakfast but unfortunately her rooms were already booked, as it was Friday. Quick search in the booking.com app revealed most of the local properties were unavailable too, so she asked around and found an available room for us.

Rooms was really beautiful, big and a beautiful scent of wood. Very clean and comfortable bed. The hostess was gentle and caring. She also suggested a really good burger place ...really great. Will gp back anytime im in the area.

Internet did not work on my computer but the team worked to find a solution and it worked. I was with my bike and there is no restaurant on site - regular guests invited me to join them for dinner and it was a memorable evening in great company. Thank you!

The guesthouse is a beautiful building with a lot of history and character. The location is perfect for exploring the Wachau valley and they even provide bikes for doing so. Silke is a wonderful host, she gave us some great recommendations for cycle pathways and short walks with stunning views. The breakfast provided is plentiful and really delicious, worth the extra cost. We really enjoyed some time in the garden trying some of Weingut Langmayer‘s wines, we even brought a couple of bottles back with us. I would thoroughly recommended this guesthouse, this was one of our most enjoyable holidays.
