We staid at Villa Lala that belongs to the same owner therefore, we end up spending most of our time at Poa Poa (restaurant) and pool
Villa Lala - the room number 1 is superb! Initially we got to number 2 (smaller in size and different setup). We got transferred to the room 1 (due to some issue with toilet) but what we discovered - room N1 was for sure Superior. It worth 💯 to pay little more but get this room! Wardrobe is soooo specious, layout is perfect 🤩 and I love its interior design more.
You will have shared kitchen - to fix tea or coffee for yourself or sometime we kept some fruits in the fridge ☺️
Next door to Villa Lala you will have Poa Poa restaurant with the best food! Sooo good and good value for money. I was having grilled octopus with grilled veggies every single day 😁 soooo good!
Great spot for pics as well 📸🤳
Staff is cool and caring!
Good place to chill and relax
Big thanks to John 🫶🏻

The staff at Cast Away are exceedingly helpful, friendly and accommodating. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and even spoiled. The location is fantastic, right on the beach with a beach bar serving drinks. The facilities were beautiful and comfortable. I would gladly return to this hotel!

I have visited Zanzibar before and stayed at a few hotels (large and small) and this is by far my favorite hotel, my kids and I did not want to leave. It was a hidden gem! The staff were very friendly, the owners were always available and very sweet and kind, the food was the best in Zanzibar. It’s a very quiet and lovely getaway. The beach felt like a private beach away from the overbearing Masai and tourists. The hotel was very cozy, authentic and unique. The rooms were spacious, the balcony was stunning and watching the sunrise every day was beautiful, AC was working perfectly, rooms was always clean and they clean twice a day. If you want to relax.. this is the place to stay! The owners and staff quickly became our family. Thank you for the most beautiful stay, we will be back again! Thank you Milo, Max, Lena, Frank, Michael, Hamed, and Rahma.

Perfect place to stay in Matamwe for our 5 days. Breakfast was just what we needed before diving every morning. Good price for the area. Very nice staff and the cutest dog and cat!

The Villa is a jewel. it was saved and restored from a nature that was literally claiming and swallowing it back. The White Villa stands Out from its beautiful green garden but without being intrusive with nature.
The garden and the Door Collection absolutely deserve a visit. the room was really well designed and furnished. you have really the feeling to be in a small bubble suspended out of time.

The property is really well maintained, maybe on the new side and the bed was very comfortable and the shower hot and wonderful. And, the staff were super friendly and helpful!
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The staff are amazing and very friendly-Victor the front office manager , Said were great hosts. The food was good and many varieties in the breakfast buffet.
We look forward to another visit.
Besides clean facility the design of the hotel was simple and clean.
Tha A.C worked really well, it was crispy inside the room despite the extreme humidity and heat outside (Apparantly it's been an exceptionally warm year).
Good, comparably busy area on the coast with good restaurants outside, next to Imara.
I enjoyed being with, and seeing the locals outside, infront/behind the hotel.
The view from the room towards the sea :)
Great host, who went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great stay. Nice location. Walking distance to the beach. The room has both a fan and AC, which helps with keeping the place nice and cool.
Fantastic spot on the beach and amazing hosts! The whole property is brand new, perfectly cozy and clean, and absolutely authentic. The attention to detail is astonishing and the breakfast is among the best we ever experienced! We enjoyed the comfortable pick-up service from the airport. The lovely hosts made us feel so welcome, as if we found our beach home, and the beach bar fully completed the perfect picture :) Restaurants around are great too! We'll definitely come back!
This homestay allows you to use entire kitchen, garden, room all on your own which is more than 100m2 cuz there will only be yourself there! We really enjoyed staying at this chill place and the staff even gave us a discount price for it. Everyone here is sooo kind and helpful. We highly recommend this place to everyone if you stay in Kiwengwa.
The friendliness of all the staff from the two lovely hosts all the way to the cleaning ladies. Everyone gave their utmost to make our visit perfect.
The food was delicious and the service 100%. I will definitely tell my friends about Marafiki Bungalows.
A wonderful place, beautiful, atmospheric, quiet and peaceful. Great host Jim!!!! Always nice, helpful, polite and smiling, taking care of the comfort of holidaymakers. Beautiful beach with white sand, cleaned daily. Breakfast with local fruits, omelette, pita bread, coffee, tea, honey, jam... nothing else needed. I felt very safe here. The natives are extremely nice!!!! I recommend it with a clear conscience!!!!
Good vibes, great food, nice pool surrounded by beautiful garden, rooms are fully equipped, nice and clean. 5 min walking distance from the beach through the village where you can buy tasty mango, fresh coconut or pinapple (ananas) from locals. Own beachbar offers sunbeds for free and serves lovely food and drinks durring the day, the vibe and chill of this place is awesome. Im gonna miss this place and their Aperol Spritz :)
Great resort to enjoy Zanzibar! The facility is amazing and the limited number of rooms makes it intimate and authentic. Carolina and Andrej are two great hosts and together with the rest of the staff they have done their best to satisfy our requests, organize different excursions and make our stay perfect. The resort hosts a kite school and that's a great plus if you're into it. Finally the cuisine is very good!
