The Mayssa villa was really a good choice because the villa was simple , clean and really beautiful. The location was really strategic less than 10min walking to the paje beach. A lot of souvenirs shops and restaurants around the villa I could get anything I wanted . Highly recommended 🥰

Wow! What an incredible place to stay and truly an unforgettable experience with the staff and owners. We were there during the New Years holiday and an exciting time for Mango House! It was during our 10 day stay there that new management/ownership officially took over. Beth and Dollah were fabulous hosts who provided us with a mix of local and tourist adventures, while also focusing on what is actually worth spending money on. They organized sailing and snorkeling with some of the staff, booked a tour of the south (which was AMAZING), and joined us for a night out in the local town! Both of them brought an energy and warmth to the accommodation!
We, 3 people, stayed in the newly renovated Clove suite. The new amenities, furniture, bathroom appliances and general space were VERY well done and exceedingly clean. The cleaning staff, wait staff, and general faculty were attentive, capable and willing to help with any request! This place is truly unique and any time I consider traveling back to Zanzibar -Mango Beach House will be the place I stay!

Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
It’s a very quiet location with not too many people on the beach with very few locals hassling you to buy stuff or go on trips. The accommodation is very rustic and gives a real Island feel. The staff are amazing. Every single one of them were very friendly and helpful.

Perfect for relaxing days on the beach. During our stay the high tides were in the early hours, so the morning swimming and beach walks were superb. The locals on the beach are not intrusive and left us alone to relax after a short conversation. We had long breakfasts under the palms and frangipani trees. The on-site bar & restaurant is excellent, the food quality and variety were ideal for our stay of 2 nights and 3 days. Our sincerest thanks to Joseph and Josephat for the delicious cocktails and excellent service.
A perfect accommodation for everyone, who looks for a relaxing place on Zanzibar! Great hosts who really make you feel at home, great place (lovely rooms including mosquito nets over the bed, fireplace, beautiful garden), great location (almost any place on the east coast can be visited for a day trip), quiet beach within 5 minutes walking distance, great breakfast (fruits grown in the own garden + local fresh bread + tee/coffee + fresh juice) - just great. We extended our stay and would even have extended further but holidays were over.
We had a great time there and can only recommend it to everyone! House and garden are very spacious and clean with lots of privacy. The pool, terrace and garden are huge and we enjoyed every second there. Lots of great places to sit!
Also Roberto and Ricardo are great hosts! They helped us with all we needed and were quick and friendly all the time.
The breakfast was very good and plentifull, especially the fresh italian pastries we got every morning. We can only recommend it to everyone who wants to relax

Everything. We have NEVER been to such a relaxing four days in our many years of holidays. Forget your 5* hotels, and watch the real world go by to a few good books. The tides rises & falls, you fall asleep and wake to the sound of the waves. Delicious food and drink. Soft gentle music and great hosts. This is truly a Paradise away from Developers. A wonderful simple tonic, to heal your very soul.
Great hosts that take care of you during the whole stay. Amazing breakfast and option to eat lunch/dinner in the hotel restaurant as well. It is a small paradise far from the rush of the city. Highly recommended.
This was one of the best stay I have ever had, the hospitality, the good vibe, beautiful view on one of the best beaches of Zanzibar and the incredible delicious food! Meet the locals on the beach, take a bike to Paje beach, see the monkeys in the Jozani forest and relax, enjoy the scenery.
