Pole Pole house was a great option for us when arriving Paje at night without any hotel booking. The room is very spacious and even though there is no AC, the fan is sufficient to keep you cool at night. I was also pleasantly surprised to not hear any noise despite its location by the main road. THe room is located behind a cute pacio with banana trees.

The location was very good, near facilities and the beach. The owner Mayssa is a very warm person that was welcoming and facilitated in everything we wanted. From tips to transportation, she even accompanied us to the airport and made sure we were on the plane. Will totally return to Mayssa Villa ;)

Wonderful Vacation Days in a Great Accommodation
I had the pleasure of spending a fantastic vacation here. The accommodation was not only beautifully located but also very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful – I felt welcome from the very beginning. Whenever I had questions, both the owner and the staff were always there to assist me.
The location was simply perfect! There were many restaurants and bars nearby, and the hotel is right by the sea – ideal for daily swimming and relaxing. The food was another highlight: freshly prepared every day and absolutely delicious.
What I especially loved is that this accommodation is perfect for everyone – whether you’re traveling as a family, solo, or with friends, you’ll feel right at home. The rooms are also aesthetically designed and very cozy. Another great aspect was the help with planning daily excursions. The host assisted me in organizing my day, and everything was arranged professionally and smoothly.
I felt completely comfortable and can highly recommend this accommodation!

Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
It’s a very quiet location with not too many people on the beach with very few locals hassling you to buy stuff or go on trips. The accommodation is very rustic and gives a real Island feel. The staff are amazing. Every single one of them were very friendly and helpful.

Perfect for relaxing days on the beach. During our stay the high tides were in the early hours, so the morning swimming and beach walks were superb. The locals on the beach are not intrusive and left us alone to relax after a short conversation. We had long breakfasts under the palms and frangipani trees. The on-site bar & restaurant is excellent, the food quality and variety were ideal for our stay of 2 nights and 3 days. Our sincerest thanks to Joseph and Josephat for the delicious cocktails and excellent service.
A perfect accommodation for everyone, who looks for a relaxing place on Zanzibar! Great hosts who really make you feel at home, great place (lovely rooms including mosquito nets over the bed, fireplace, beautiful garden), great location (almost any place on the east coast can be visited for a day trip), quiet beach within 5 minutes walking distance, great breakfast (fruits grown in the own garden + local fresh bread + tee/coffee + fresh juice) - just great. We extended our stay and would even have extended further but holidays were over.
We had a great time there and can only recommend it to everyone! House and garden are very spacious and clean with lots of privacy. The pool, terrace and garden are huge and we enjoyed every second there. Lots of great places to sit!
Also Roberto and Ricardo are great hosts! They helped us with all we needed and were quick and friendly all the time.
The breakfast was very good and plentifull, especially the fresh italian pastries we got every morning. We can only recommend it to everyone who wants to relax

Everything. We have NEVER been to such a relaxing four days in our many years of holidays. Forget your 5* hotels, and watch the real world go by to a few good books. The tides rises & falls, you fall asleep and wake to the sound of the waves. Delicious food and drink. Soft gentle music and great hosts. This is truly a Paradise away from Developers. A wonderful simple tonic, to heal your very soul.
Great hosts that take care of you during the whole stay. Amazing breakfast and option to eat lunch/dinner in the hotel restaurant as well. It is a small paradise far from the rush of the city. Highly recommended.
This was one of the best stay I have ever had, the hospitality, the good vibe, beautiful view on one of the best beaches of Zanzibar and the incredible delicious food! Meet the locals on the beach, take a bike to Paje beach, see the monkeys in the Jozani forest and relax, enjoy the scenery.
