The breakfast was lovely, and the staff was really kind and helpful. The place is incredible; an old house, nicely renovated and with a long family history. It was a nice experience. The place was clean and the bed was really comfortable. It is in the heart of the old city and we could explore it and enjoy it. It was a real cultural experience to stay there.

What a fabulous place! The hotel is in a wonderful historic building, whose rooms overlook a courtyard with arches and columns with real Corinthian, Roman, original hat.... for me, enjoying this privilege was priceless!! In addition to the beautiful common areas, the large rooms are tastefully furnished and the beds are in Tunisian style, fabulous... our bathroom was also stunning, with a Singer sewing machine supporting the sink and marble and ancient Arabic tiles as decoration. Really very beautiful! Very kind staff, excellent breakfast. Not to be missed!

Amazing, beautiful, great value property in a perfect location within the stunning Sousse Medina!!! Our room was absolutely perfect, the owners incredibly helpful and the generous breakfasts each morning totally delicious!!! Highly recommended for all!!!

Nice apartment with 2 rooms. Very clean. Lovely hot shower. It had cooking facilities but we did not use it. Situated in the heart of the Medina. Well recommended.

Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Apartment is very spaceous and clean, wi fi is working fine. We parked a car in front of the apt, very safe place. No problems with hot water. Bathroom could use some renovation, but that didn't bother us. Mr. Akram is a great host. He provided us with everything we needed (extra blankets, towells..), he even brought us home made cakes. Would recommand his apartment. Thank you Mr. Akram!
Great location - property extends right to the beach. Note that this is not a private beach so there will be locals trying to sell things.
The property had several bars which served food throughout the day.
The indoor swimming pool was ideal when the wind picked up in the afternoon.
Overall,the staff were brilliant and made us feel so comfortable.
Resort was excellent, good facilities, indoor pool. Entertainment was good. The buffet was excellent, massive selection for all meals and changed up daily. Different specialty dishes. Mahdi at the buffet was a good host, always checking up on us. Heated Indoor pool was good.
Our stay in Dar Hkeïm was wonderful! Toutou is a great host, his breakfast is delicious, his tours were really great and the home is really charming. We’ve experienced a local life thanks to Toutou, it wouldn’t be the same without him and his knowledge. One of the perks of staying at his guest house is we got to know great people, so we couldn’t ask for more in our first, but sure not last, visit to Tunis. We recommend it 100%
Amine was a great host - he let us check in early and offered us plenty of helpful tips and advice. One of us had to work from the apartment for a while and the apartment had a really comfortable set up for that.
This villa is gorgeous, it has everything you need and the sea within hearing distance (30 seconds walk out the gate).
The area is full of locals who are so friendly and spoke enough English for us to get groceries easily and find our we around.
We took the bus or a shared cab to Sousse for 1DT when we wanted, it was easy, nice to visit and then even nicer to leave the touristy area to return to the practically private peaceful beach of Chatt Mariam.
Highly recommend !
It was such a joy to stay at Dar Hkaïem! The house is beautiful and I appreciated the hot showers and good wifi. Madji is a great host, really helpful and easy to talk to. He went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. Breakfast was good as well!
