Alex and family are helpful and friendly. The house and garden are very quiet and peaceful (it is not central and you need some form of transport to get here from CR centre - about 6 or 7 KMs). You go to sleep and wake up to the sound of nature. The garden is lovely and quiet and the room was large and comfortable. There are some restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance but Alex (or his wife?) will cook for you! around I strongly recommend it if you want a quiet and peaceful few days.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
I was looking for a quiet break from the city and this homestay was it. There were free bicycles to use (nothing fancy though). The wooden interior is beautiful and the balcony was perfect for me to lay out my travel yoga mat and meditate.
A perfect located homestay close to Chiang Rai. Surrounded by pineapple fields, peaceful environment and warm owners, this wonderful homestay was our best hotel during our stay in Thailand. Well decorated, clean and comfort rooms, strong wifi, satisfying breakfast and lovely owners are just few of the values you get while staying there. 10/10 we will be back!!!
