We had a wonderful stay and can’t say enough good things about the kind and friendly family who run it. The family style home cooking at the restaurant was very good and affordable for our winter budget trip. It was close enough to town to walk to the elevator which goes to the higher part of the city center….10 minute walk with two little kids was no problem.

Convenient location on a quiet street in a small town, a short drive to nearby Belmonte. Attached to an existing restaurant modern building with comfortable rooms, saunas, spa, and jacuzzi; code secured entrance doors to the hotel and every room. Fantastic owners, hospitality of the highest grade, friendly and helpful. A dinner there was a memorable experience, thank to the hosts, who were cooking, serving, and creating a warm atmosphere in a small uncrowded restaurant. An easy free street parking, next or behind the hotel. Unbeatable price to value ratio. The best stay during our trip to the North Portugal.

The place we booked was closed due to some technical issues, but the commitments and booking was taken over by the hotel owner's relative and she accommodated us in her hotel, which was right across the road. So my review is about her hotel.
Our room was super cool, I really liked the room style and furniture. In our room we had a crib, so it looks like families with small kids are also welcome. The room was warm and did not have any side smell (though it was a rainy season and some other accommodations in our trip had this musty smell), the bed linen was white and super fresh. Aside from the room itself, I also liked the view to the valley from our window.
The hotel also has a restaurant with a-la carte and very decent food and drinks. Though the restaurant is downstairs we were not bothered by any loud noises. The hotel is a pick for those, who are aiming to visit National Park Serra da Estrela. I recommend staying in this hotel.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Wonderful stay from arrival to departure. I was travelling by motorcycle, easy to park right outside and locked at night. Warm welcome by lovely hosts. My room was excellent, such a comfortable bed. Ate in the restaraunts for evening meal (very good) and breakfast also very good. I can’t fault this place in any way, book now! It is a “stand alone” hotel but close to Covhilla and the wonderful Estrela mountains
Even better than described, tidy and comfortable, with lots light and plenty of moving space, and a beautiful mix of vintage and newer furniture that work perfectly together. The Wi-Fi was good enough to work and join Zoom meetings without issue, and the beauty of the location in the middle of the old town can’t be beaten. The lovely host is ready to help and respond to any queries. Amazing stay, I would recommend anyone heading to Covilhã to give them a try!
