Our stay on Amantani Island was one of the most memorable experiences of our travels in Peru. We were warmly welcomed by Josè Luis, who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
Pilar, the wife, is an incredible cook—every meal she prepared was delicious, fresh, and made with so much love. Sharing meals with the family and enjoying their traditional dishes was one of the highlights of our stay.
The family’s kindness and hospitality were unmatched. They shared stories about their life on the island and taught us about their customs, making our visit both enriching and heartwarming. Despite the simplicity of life on Amantani, their warmth and generosity made us feel like we had everything we needed.
If you’re visiting Puno and looking for an authentic, cultural experience, I highly recommend staying with a local family on Amantani Island. It’s a unique opportunity to connect with the community, enjoy amazing food, and create lasting memories.
Thank you to our wonderful host family for this unforgettable experience!

We spent two nights in Titicaca Sariri Lodge from Isaac in January.
We are really thankful for the warm welcome from him und his family. They shared a lot about their culture and way of living. We are really fascinated by it.
Fishing with Isaac during our stay was a nice adventure as well.
The room was warm enough, so we didn’t need any heating. During the night they provided us some warm water bottles to heat the bed and be comfortable.
Hot water to shower was never missing.
The toilet is different from what we know in Europe, but nothing to feel uncomfortable with.
We would recommend to everyone to spend one or two nights in this beautiful lodge.
With pool views, Uros Lodge Lover Titiqaqa is located in Puno and has a restaurant, free shuttle service, bar and garden.

Very affordable at the price we booked at, would have been less happy if we had paid more (and not all rooms are equal so be careful which one you book). Well located on the islands and we liked the view from our terrace, peaceful place to spend a couple of days. Dinner was nice and filling. Flexibility of checking in and checking out times. Bathroom was clean and hot water.

We had an incredible stay! The room is amazing with nice views on the lake and a second bed on the terrace to chill during the day. Leo took us on a tour around the islands with his boat which was really interesting and when we left Leo and his wife also gave us handmade necklaces as a farewell present. Everybody was so kind and welcoming we couldn't recommend more to stay here.
They also offer kayaking and tours to Taquile island.
