I loved staying at La Koquillishe. The staff was so friendly. I can’t emphasize it enough. I had good conversations with the host and her family. The drivers were so nice too! The whole vibe was homey. I’d highly recommend this place.

We arrived le Rosier from the airport very tired after a long trip in the afternoon. The beds were not ready and had no sheets. We had reserved 2 rooms and paid for 5 nights for both. The staff insisted on putting us 2 adult ladies in 1 room. After a long argument we had to share the one room. We contacted the listed WhatsApp number and after a very long wait the person we spoke to sent.a message that it was a mistake and that we had separate rooms. They still did not resolve the issue the next day and we cancelled one of the rooms and requested a refund. We decided to leave the hotel. We are still waiting for a refund. Very very disappointed. Not worth it at all. NOT RECOMMENDED. PLEASE STAY AWAY.

This place is not a hotel, it's a warm welcoming home. Location: the place is very private and peaceful. It's a nice location to visit the whole north east coast. Food: the food is cooked with love, with a perfect fusion of Mauritian and Thai cuisine. Staff: the family that owns this place has poured all their heart into it! Overall, we had a wonderful time. We will be back.

Spacious and well furnished rooms, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Very clean!

Jay and Henry are super friendly. They gave us a run-down on the island and the near area - where to go, what to do etc.
Also, 5 minutes by car you can get to the shopping mall - grocery store, bars with local food, etc.
We had a really good time there. Highly recommended place to stay.

If you came to Mauritius for kitesurfing, Jay will give you good ideas about local spots. His son is semi-professional kiter!
Also if you need lessons or kite rental he will put you in contact with the right people.

The house we stayed was the upper one. Very nice view. The rooms were all open.
Breakfast is provided in a basket in huge quantity to finish yourself which is ok.

Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.

We stayed in the Treehouse and really loved it. Being so close to the nature, to the animals was an amazing experience. The owners are great hosts who gave us a lot of tips. We would definitely come back, next time even longer. Very recommendable for nature lovers.
The location was perfect, great host. Everything was clean and the Seaview was excellent. Nice pool and very large dining area. Excellent and would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
