We rented two rooms and and two bathrooms. Great communication from before arrival to after departure. Very clean and tidy. Everything needed provided including basic toiletries, towels, sterilised UV irradiated booked water. Fridge access. Welcome drink and morning hot drink freshly made and provided. I had a lovely stay at Home from Home. The staff was amazing. Seesha was always there to answer my questions and help me out. I felt really at home. The owner, Sam was super helpful and gave me good tips for my trip. There are lots of animals, cats, dogs and fishes. The dogs are so so sweet. The place is very quiet. I found an amazing vegeterian buffet nearby. You should definitely check it out. The neighborhood is very peaceful and safe. It was a very nice place to start my trip! Thank u so much!

Aathma House is a brilliant lakeside hotel. Everywhere you look there’s something beautiful. It’s lavishly decorated and the rooms and bathrooms are amazingly comfortable and spacious. We had one of the smallest rooms but it still had its own courtyard! Brilliant staff who help you out with whatever you need. The pool is also wonderfully natural and relaxing. But the best thing about the hotel is definitely the food. No need to look further than their amazing menu, which is genuinely top restaurant quality.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
We really enjoyed our time at Mohan’s homestay. It was exceptionally clean, very comfortable, and Mohan was a great host. Breakfast was delicious and served on a balcony that provided a perfect spot for birdwatching. Thank you Mohan for your wonderful hospitality.

Really helpful in nature, peaceful location, a bit farther away from main attraction area of Colombo, a bike/scooter/tuk tuk/bus needed for commuting between Galle face, Pettah, Fort area. Great budget option. Really homestay like feeling, finally stayed there for more than one instances, the owner became a friend, still in connection with her. Without a word she agreed to keep our luggage when we were out of Colombo for further journey. Would like to repeat the same option of staying here.
Shiranthi is a lovely host. She gave us a lot of useful information and made us tea every morning. The location is a little outside of Colombo but reachable very easily and cheap by local bus. It felt like home for 3 nights. We would definitely recommend
It was really great host and her husband and they can solve all of your problems. Really good service and apartments. At the third floor there is a working place. There is a limit internet with 150GB month package, but just in case you can ask the host about the increasing this package. In the last day of our staying owners show us famous places in Colombo and beautiful lake near the villa.
