Jungle Village Homestay is amidst thick dense forest and it is apt for people travelling to spend some quality time with nature. The homestay is surrounded by their farm and the owner's mother was very keen on explaining every crop and tree she grows there. I went with my mother and father and they were thrilled to see the enthusiasm of the host and this was our first day stay after we landed in lanka. truly a great way to start our Sri Lankan Trip. Thank you very much Mr. Ravi for a wonderful stay.

The bed was very comfortable, a nice view of the elephants at the orphanage when they are let out at 8:30am and just a 10 minute walk max to walk to the entrance. It’s right by some restaurants on the Main Street.

Our stay at Toropi Homestay was nothing short of magical. Nestled in a serene jungle setting, just a short distance from the bustling city of Kandy, this hidden gem offers the perfect blend of tranquility and adventure.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Nishad and his wonderful family, whose hospitality made us feel instantly at home. The food, lovingly prepared by Nishad’s wife, was some of the best Sri Lankan cuisine we’ve ever had—each meal was a delightful exploration of local flavors and traditions.
Nishad went above and beyond as our host, taking us on unforgettable excursions to a local tea factory, stunning waterfalls, the iconic Ambuluwawa Tower, and several beautiful temples. These experiences gave us a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and rich culture of the area, all while avoiding the usual tourist crowds.
What truly sets Toropi Homestay apart is the genuine warmth and kindness of Nishad and his family. Their care and attention to detail made our stay the best we had in Sri Lanka. If you’re looking for a place that offers both comfort and authentic experiences, Toropi Homestay is an absolute must-visit.

The Kandyan Manor and especially the owners offered a safe space in the middle of a chaotic town for us. Bhathiya and Suzy always took care we are feeling well and helped us organize trips. Also the dinner which you can book extra is highly recommended. You can get breakfast every morning with a stunning view at their terrace, most of the food is even self grown in their garden. We also liked the interior of the location a lot.
Offering garden views, De Paris à Kandy in Kandy offers accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a bar, a shared lounge, a garden and a terrace.

We loved staying at Kushana and Purnima's home sooo much!
They felt like true family to us.
And i am including their lovely pets, cats and lovely sweetest dog Bella. I enjoyed playing with Bella so much! Thank you Bella, you are truely also a much appreciated member of the staff and did an amazing job! This just added to the comfy feeling of home and relaxation.
There were also cute and funny monkeys that we could observe right from our rooms.
One monkey got in our room so just a heads up, do close your door when you're not there because they take your stuff.
The rooms were in a lovely antique style and very clean, also energetically clean as i am very sensitive to how the energy is somewhere.
You could feel that everything they do for their guests is done with a lot of care, love and attention.
Every day they prepared an amazing fresh breakfast from their own garden, so very healthy!
And we could even order food for dinner. They made the dinner.
Kushana drove us to various beautiful places and even went a whole day and waited for us while we were there.
Talk about patience!:)
The house is located on walking distance from various nice restaurants, also suited for vegetarians.
And close to the town Kandy.
But in a silent area, the only sounds we heard were monkeys, criquets and sometimes dogs barking.
I slept sooo peacefully.
There is also a fridge in the shared area and the view from the balcony is just amazing, we sat there a lot and could watch the stars and fireflies at night.
So, to conlude, it was truelly a magical and wonderful experience.
The service here is even better then you often get in a 5 star hotel. And you won't get generally this kind of genuine attention and hospitality in most hotels.
This is the true meaning of hospitality from the heart.
I will definitely return here some day!
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Couldn't recommend enough. This is a wonderful Home Stay with the most welcoming family. We felt right at home. We were welcomed with tea and the onsite bar was a lovely touch.
The host was so helpful and would be a great guide for any tourist experiences.
The chalet had everything we needed and was very comfortable.
We had breakfast dinner and part took in a cooking class.
Wonderful time, wonderful family. Must stay

This place is so wonderful I extended my stay and will definitely be back!
Everything was perfect, the food was delicious, the hospitality, the room, the pool to cool down on a hot day, great location making it easy to go to other parts and also lovely to just sit and relax surrounded by nature reading a book or writing.
Plus, Anushka really knows the island and is a great tour guide!
Amazing place, great host and the best breakfast we had during our trip in Sri Lanka. Room and all place very clean, surrounded by big and green garden. Strongly recommend that to stay in that place – you will not regret.
This boutique hotel has an amazing history, it used to be a private residence 100 years ago. Most of the flooring tiles are original, the place has been beautifully restored, the rooms are incredible and very cozy, their beds are comfortable.
I don't want to give away the story behind the beauty of this building but do stay there and ask them for a little tour around. It's absolutely fantastic.
Excellent homestay with super warm and friendly host family. Beautiful and unique villa and lovely treehouse balcony. Food was very good to.
Recommendation to visit the nearby waterfall and bible rock.
Absolutly a place to visit when you are looking for the real SL life. The homestay is running by lovely family. Hospitality is great. Prashan took us to the waterfal, the Bible Rock, elephants where we were almost alone. Local food dishes were served at the tree house. The bathroom is like a jungle. Go there!!
