A lovely place in the quiet part of Tanglle. We booked at the last minute and they were ready for us with an early check-in early and a very nice welcome drink.
The owner Gintarė and manager Chami were very helpful, organising transport to The other side of Tanglle and to Mirissa. The wetlands near the lodge had many birds which was a bonus. Highly recommended.

The setting is beautiful, the pool and tree houses are cool and well blending with nature. The pizza and breakfast were delicious. Someone designed this and knew what they were doing. Maybe a fun place for a family with different needs so I understand nice reviews.

The location is super peaceful and quiet, lots of animals right by the lagoon. 7 mins away from the beach.
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I got stung by a jelly fish and got offered Aloe Vera right away which really helped me a lot. The breakfast and food in general is homemade and super super tasty. The coffee was also pretty good.
I definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a super quiet and peaceful timeout to just relax and enjoy being surrounded by all kinds of peaceful animals.

I liked literally everything about this family and this homestay. I definitely recommend you to choose this place if you search for an accommodation with a good price, good care, amazing food and a clean and neat room with a/c. Breakfasts were crazily delicious, we stayed for dinners too and it was so so so tasty! We are vegan, so we might seem a bit difficult, but it was not a problem for this family to prepare variety of traditional dishes that met all our dietary needs 100%. They helped us with super economical scooter rental and tuk tuk taxis. WiFi was working well, the room was clean, towels too, a/c was working well and the price we paid was in my opinion not enough for what we received. We are very very grateful and wishing this family all the best!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Breakfast was exceptional and included, the evening meal was outstanding, order your drinks so they have them in, our preference is bottled Lion beer and ginger beer shandy, refreshing in the heat
I read other peoples reviews and I had to include this homestay in our trip, Hungama doesn't attract the usual tourist but it was quite convenient to Yala and easy to access Bundala national parks.
Our host, Sagara, took an hour out of his day to walk with us which was interesting and informative..
