Among the best guest houses I've been. Very friendly and helpful owner, excellent food and tea, central and quiet location with sea view, 100m from beach and 500m from main bus station. Room had private bathroom, fan, good ventilation and daylight, is mosquito-proof when doors closed, and had a balcony with sea view. Free wifi is available. Very good value for money. It's very pleasant to sit on the balcony or in the shaded garden in the breeze, hear the sound of the waves and enjoy the view.

We stayed at the sunshine cafe for two nights and had a wonderful time - it ticks all the boxes! It’s in a great location and only a quick 2 minute walk to the most beautiful beach that is so lovely and quiet! The hosts are lovely and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We ate breakfast, lunch & dinner here and it was all SO delicious. The food is so fresh and flavoursome(especially the seafood)as well as being great value. The room was lovely and big with an outdoor kitchen and private terrace area. It was lovely and peaceful and had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace and enjoying the view of the beautiful garden. Give this place a go - you won’t regret it! Saman, the host! He’s gentle and quietly passionate about nature and shells turtles and the beach. Location- 3 mins walk from the beautiful empty beach. You can still hear the waves. But the price is much lower than beachfront places. Very clean - Saman is constantly sweeping the lane and garden, the sheets and rooms are clean. The rooms are a mix of older and newer. Some are slightly showing their age. But all are very clean and spacious.

The deluxe treehouse was awesome! Worth doing. Not cheap but our fave accommodation for our Sri Lankan trip. Wish we could have stayed longer. They even gave us free water when we were leaving, staff were lovely!
