The accomodation is beautiful, furnished with lovely wooden furniture and great attention to detail. My room was clean, comfortable and larger than in similar accomodations in the region. The owner is very kind and pleasant and offered many tips about the area and the rest of my trip in Japan in general.

It's hard to find anything I didn't love about my stay. The owners were so welcoming and helpful. It was a pleasure to meet them. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the facilities had everything I needed.
The location is excellent, less than a 5 min walk to the Higashichaya teahouse district.
Easily my favourite accommodation of my whole trip

We loved our stay at Machiya! The area was great and full of young design and kraft shops, cool restaurants and breakfast places. Very clean! Everything was taken care for to the smallest detail. Small kitchen lets you be independent. The owner is so friendly, we couldn’t enjoy our stay more.
宿樽 is situated in Kanazawa, 700 metres from Myoryuji - Ninja Temple, 2.5 km from Kanazawa Station, and a few steps from Muro Saisei Kinenkan Museum.

You actually rent the whole house and it’s amazing. A very well located house in the center of Kanazawa, a few min walking to all important spots. The house is clean, bright and Japanese style. 200% recommended

Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The wonderful host family shared with us aspects of their unique culture. The bedding was also comfortable and snug, and the food was simple and tasty. One of the best minshuku experiences in Japan.
This is a special experience. You get to experience the hospitality of a home stay in a 200 year old thatched roof house. The dinner and breakfast were perfect and our host was congenial and shared his musical instruments with us. The town is lovely....small enough for a one night stay.
beautiful japanese home stay. very clean and organized inside. location was convenient for bus stop and grocery. and the surrounding location is very beautiful.
