This location has multiple large common areas that still provided a homey feel. I enjoyed reading the journal entries if previous visitors. I went during the low season & a bike was available for use which elevated my stay. A light stayed on in the female dorm & there was a low light setting which made it easier to navigate the dorm room in case you needed to be up early.

Parking on site was satisfactory and additional spaces were available. Property proximity to the beach and attractions in town would likely make this sought after during beach season (if not for the problems with the property itself).

Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The room was spacious and clean. The Kaseiki dinner was good enough with the exception of the tempura being overdone. The black sand bath was quite soothing. The lighting made the different buildings very beautiful in the evening. Staff who spoke English were very help those who don't try to evade us and helped the locals first even though we were next in line.
