This is a great authentic historic place to stay. The rooms are nice and cosy. Even though I'm not used to sleeping on the floor the futons were very comfortable. The house has a nice in house bath which you can use to relax and wash in the morning and evening. You can also rent good electric bicycles to explore the nearby area to get different views on mount Fuji. The location is a good starting point if you plan to climb Fuji. The hosts are amazing and very forthcoming. Unfortunately I forgot my jacket there and they went even so far to send it to our next hotel. Great place, thanks for the nice stay!

This 400 year old guest house is pure Japanese charm, tradition and hospitality. We were welcomed so warmly, and treated to a history lesson with the artefacts and story of the pilgrim resting place. Sure it’s basic, with walls of paper and futon beds. But very special and memorable.

It was a great experience to stay in the real Japanese house. From the beginning, the communication was great. Any questions were answered promptly. The owners were very kind to accommodate our request for leaving our luggage several hours before the check-in time. When we arrived, one of our rooms was already ready for us. The guest house is a walking distance from the train station and only a couple of blocks away from the supermarket. We used the kitchen and the dining area of the house. The kitchen was stocked with tea and coffee. There is a toilet and the sink on each floor. The shower room has a great variety of shampoo, conditioners, and body washes. It was very convenient that we could use a washing machine.
Everything is very well organized. We could book the shower for a particular time or use it when it was available.
There are notes in English with useful information around the house. We were given a very early ride to the bus station because taxi don't start until later. And we were given some snacks for our Fujiyama hike. We really enjoyed our stay.

The view from the Fuji-view room was amazing. Location was ok, in a very calm area, about 15mins walk through rice-fields and a residential area from restaurants. The room was great, super clean and beautiful, and the sauna-jaccuzi and onsen were so great to relax in. The host was such a nice guy, and sang for us at night, beautiful japanese songs. It was moving and a very authentic japanese cultural experience. The host makes huge efforts on every level to make your stay a nice one. I have a great memory from this calm and relaxing place, it was an oasis of tranquility and comfort during a busy and exciting trip to japan. Will go back for sure, even if its just to relax and look at Mt Fuji again.

Great place for family/friends gathering. Spacious, clean, and well-equipped with kitchen utensils. Plus point of this homestay is there are two toilets and two separate shower rooms and basins! The view facing Mount Fuji is superb, coming from all directions from the balcony, living room, and sleeping rooms.
Yumiko gave us everything we needed for a pleasant stay and she was very thoughtful and clear about the house rules since the beginning. She was a great host and took care of us when we came back from the mount Fuji hiking too.
It was a beautiful place with the most enthusiastically lovely host! We only got to stay one night but wish we could’ve done more. Taeko was incredibly helpful to us as we stayed the day before climbing Mount Fuji and she made sure we had plenty of water and helped us out with a taxi!!
This was one of the best stays we had in japan. Sayuri is such a great host, helped was to find a place to eat, to book the bus to the next day.

Old Japanese house in the middle of the countryside, so very quiet and soothing. Hiro was a great host, and the facilities are very comfortable and complete, with kitchen, lobby, bike rental, etc. Well situated and clean.
