Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The host meet us earlier than the expected check in time as we arrived earlier. the view was insane. The photos don’t do it justice. We slept to the sound of the ocean and the breakfast delivery of fresh cornetti was amazing. Perfect location to explore Scilla, and lovely hosts. Highly recommend. The apartment is very spacious, fully equipped, very conveniently located right across from the beach. Pasquale is a great host, very attentive, ready to help, he was ok with us arriving earlier and offered us to stay longer if needed. Overall very recommended, we will be happy to come back!
Mimmo is a great host, easy to reach, affable and generous. The location is 5 Min from the beach, the apartment is well equipped and very clean. Would come back for sure!
It met more than our expectations. We loved the theme of the room, the view from the balcony, the cleanliness and the location. The locals were friendly and lots of places to eat and drink.
The breakfast was good but the real attraction were the rooms over the water. Stunning daytime and night. The walks up and down the cobble laneways were full of interest - not over run by tourists but also had a lot of locals living there making it an authentic experience.
I only wished we had more time to spend there.
