It was our first trip to Crete and the stay at Balcony Rooms made it a wonderful experience that we would definitely love to renew. The location was so great, allowing access to many known and unknown beaches. Close to the mountains for amazing views while driving around and access to surrounding towns. Both owner and staff were great! Very warm and welcoming we felt right at home. A special thanks to each one for this special experience as we celebrated our 1 year anniversary. I definitely recommend spending a few days at Balcony Rooms especially if you’re looking for a calm/quiet getaway on the south west side of the island. Very little presence of tourists and the local cuisine was amazing from both restaurants owned by them.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.

Super happy with our stay. GREAT value for money! We had to park in the narrow streets but the owner helped us with finding a spot nearby. Clean rooms with the necessary facilities and sweet small details. Tasty breakfast and really GREAT hosts who were super helpful and kind, gave us very valuable advice and accomodated our earlier check out.
The best place we have stopped in the area, the hand over was perfectly organised . We were well looked after- great host.
The cleanliness of the apartment was excellent, never stayed anywhere as clean - perfect , also the apartment was very well stocked it had everything you could ever need whilst on holiday. We were also treated to some delicious products from the bakery too.

A very beautiful place, very quiet and easy with kids. The swimming pool is lovely, with a small pool for young kids and steps to enter, a lot of green around it and even toys for the children to play around the pool. Our room was next to the pool so it was very easy to come and go from the room to the pool, we could even park our car right next to it. Two different bedrooms so kids stayed upstairs, an extra bed was made so all 3 kids could be accomodated wich was very nice and comfortable. Lovely hostess, willing to answer any questions.
Amazing! The apartment was clean, luxurious and well equipped. The view was fantastic, even from the bed! About 10 minutes walk down to Paleochora, but you actually do not want to leave the apartment 😊
We loved watching the sunset from the terrace and watching the stars from the hot tub.
